The problem was with the global widgets which are now resolved. refer to https://support.sytehero.com/help/en-gb/1/2

Design the global widget in primary language. Update and save. Do not click the plus button. Then create a new widget but using the other language. Copy the widget style from your primary language. Paste it on the secondary widget. Update.

Your global widget will now appear in each language when you are editing in Polylang.

Could you try VPN or try a proxy server and hit the site?

I am sure you have tried incognito? I see that you are behind Cloudflare. Have you tried bypassing Cloudflare. You could clear the Cloudflare cache or enable development mode.

I my case, I was hitting the Cloudflare Lisbon node. (I am in Portugal) which may have requested a fresh version of your site. Your CF node may have the old version cached.

It’s working for me even on the live site too

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble. I double-checked your site and the flags are showing without any issues for me.

I checked using Chrome, Firefox, Edge. I doubled checked mobile too.

I navigated to the career page and the home page again and the language switcher still remained.

Have you cleared your local cache on your machine?

Sorry for the hassles.

The problem is with the URL. You cannot have the URL set from Content. It needs to be set from a subdirectory.

like this:

website.com (EN)
Website.com/es (ES – Home page)

You can find the settings under

Languages
Settings
URL modifications
The language is set from the directory name in pretty permalinks (Select this)
