I am having this EXACT same problem on an upgrade. I upgraded two installs — of course my server is down now so I can’t check one, but the other that I was playing with I can not create categories! This is majorly frustrating to me. There are also other things I can not do as admin, such as create a new user from within wordpress (says I do not have permission). I don’t get this. But I want it fixed!! I have tried every solution listed on this page and still continue to get this error. The only plugin I have installed is Post Levels and I have tried this with and without the plugin disabled to no luck. HELP!!

I recently installed this plugin and after activation when I visit my main blog, EVERY post I’ve ever written shows up on my main blog, eventhough I have wordpress set to display the last 7 days of entries. Whether I have a post “sticky” or not, if the plugin is activated it does this. How do I fix this??

I just wanted to add that after some research on my own I discovered I left out a piece of code:

RewriteEngine On

So after adding that before the other two lines in my .htaccess file I was able to fix the problem ??

The only reason I ask here is because I’d originally read how to do it the first time here on the forums, but now I can’t find the post lol

Hello when I install and activate Sidney’s plugin, I get this error:

What is the problem?

Thanks lawtai – I disabled the spam plugin and all comments NOW are going straight into moderation… but at least they’re being posted now haha. I noticed you testing them out. Thanks!

Nope, still not working. And now there is a comment form underneath EVERY ONE of the posts on my main index page!!! Gosh this is screwing everything up!

EDIT: OK, I copied my old templpate back.. then disabled the spam plugin.. now it is letting you post comments, but they are all default to being moderated and I have to approve them. I’m going to play around with some settings.

I’m trying that right now.. my server is going very slow for me though so it will take awhile. O_o;;

Where does the method above use images?
Sorry, should have clarified: for the main menu part, it used an image and had a name in the img tag:

Was what I was referring to. But I am assuming that you can take that and apply the name=”menu_blogs2″ to a paragraph tag?

Is there a way to ban my IP address so my visits will not be recorded in the statistics??

Can you do that with text instead of an image, surrounding the text with a span layer with name=”menu_blogs2″? Or am I missing something.. lol.
