I understand what you say, but I use a few services to notify me when my site is down and none of them found any problem. It happens with googlebot only, it’s a little strange.

In the meantime, I have no errors in the last two days, so now I’m almost sure it was something with the server. I will keep watching the stats and if hostgator doesn’t resolve my problem, I will just move my site to other hosting company ??

Ok I found the solution, the plugin was update yesterday.
IF anyone else get this error, just go to:

copy the content of that file to a file named “wp-ban.php”, access your WP installation by FTP and replace the original file, it will work

I found the error, it has to do with the SSL certificate.

Ok, I will never use WordPress with SSL again, I’ve got more errors in 2 days testing it than on 4 years using wordpress without SSL
