I found the FTP File Manager for this!
It is in GoDaddy.

But in there, to my idiot eyes, this is like looking at ancient Chinese hyroglyphics, in Arabic or Latin.

I thought under IMAGES, I might find it and change it’s name.
Then upload the new one with the previous .png name.

But I can’t locate this header thing.
Ideally, I also want to change the ugly background too….

Should I watch a tutorial on youtube for this stuff?
It’s probably piece of cake for you guys, but impossible for me.

Now, how do I rename that, and then add the new header?
This, I seem to remember, was done over at GoDaddy…… but I host this thing somewhere else now, so maybe it was there. I’ve tried to look there for these things this week, and can’t find. I’m unsmart with these things, very much so. Why didn’t I write this down when I changed it a few years ago?

I do have one quick question right now about the header on my page https://www.packersinsider.com

I want to replace it with a new one. I have it already designed. I just don’t know where to go to put the new graphic, to switch it.

I feel like I did this once before about 3 years ago, and thought I had to do it over at GoDaddy or wherever I got the domain name, or hosted it. But I can’t remember where, how….. and this seems such a simple, basic thing I am a total idiot.

I’d like to do some other freshen-ups with this site too, but not as urgently as changing the simple header.

I just searched and found this as I HAVE THE EXACT SAME ISSUE.
And it’s a huge issue when one can’t even login to the site because the site goes down.

I hate these UPGRADES. These updates often cause problems.
Same thing to my blackberry.

Anyway, spatula if you solved this yourself with no help from these members, please let me know how to pull this off.

Can anyone tell me why, now, when you go to my site, the www. part goes away?

This never was the case before last week when I changed my header. A coincidence?

you go here, and I think you will see that the www part disappears and you see the little thing in the lower left corner about an error on the page.

Anyone know how I fix this? Is it in the admin within the packersinsider.com site, or at godaddy where it’s hosted?

I need a partner with brains to match my football knowledge.

I did exactly the tricks and tips that you said, renaming it as you said, and it worked!

This may have not been a tough issue for you guys, but I am so happy to have gotten thru it (without throwing anything thru my window).

I’m still confused by the godaddy/wordpress thing, but I like posi+ive steps!

Alright, I have found and accessed my FTP in godaddy.
I see all that stuff, you’re right, it’s under content/theme/images.
I see the packer_header image in there, and just header in there, both are the same one that I want out.

I uploaded the new one into there.

But what should I do? Delete these old files and then rename the new ones to match what the old name was?
Do I then have to do anything within my wordpress packersinsider site in their admin or will it automatically adapt from this FTP thing?

Many years ago, I did take a course in FTP and think I remember the basics enough to do that, however I just have to figure out where the hosting account was setup by the guy. I updated this site for the past year and only accessed it right from the packersinsider.com site directly.

I think it might be godaddy…. does that sound right?

I never had that note/message show up until yesterday right when I did the install of 3.0 from 2.8.

Regardless, I have tried to follow their config instructions and can’t get it. It should be easy & simple right?

I simply updated from 2.8 yesterday to 3.0 and now it gives me this big message in huge red bar when I go to my admin that says:
All in One SEO Pack must be configured. Go to the admin page to enable and configure the plugin.
All in One SEO Pack now supports Custom Post Types.

This is why when total newbies see “YOUR VERSION IS OLD, YOU MUST UPDATE” I am always afraid to update. I barely have figured out what I am doing how it is, and then it changes things?

I am already at the admin page and can’t figure out what to do to get this message gone. Everything else seems normal and like I said, all I did was cater to the begging of updating from 2.8 to 3.0.
I didn’t change themes.

One simple question I have is how/where do I change/swap my main header photo? I’m using 3.0.

Is this main part found under menu, theme, etc?
