In reply to: [Mail On Update] Getting 6 notifications for one pluginI wouldn’t call it a highly frequented website, no. It has a good level of traffic for its category and very good Google ranking, but it’s unlikely that it would have dozens of viewers all at once, and especially not at 2:48 a.m. in its time zone, as it’s unlikely to attract a lot of visitors from overseas. Of course, there is always the possibility that some Russian bot happened along at the same time or something!

In reply to: [Import to Photo Gallery from NextGen gallery] “Missing NGG Plugin” – Bug?I know this is an old post – but since there may be others confused about this, the plugin you need is Web Dorado’s “Photo Gallery”. This plugin is intended to import NGG galleries into WD’s Photo Gallery plugin.

In reply to: [WP Hide Post] Categories Showing Blank Posts Which I Didn’t HideI’m seeing the same problem as rajun 2356 – and I AM using the beta 2.03 version. It’s hiding EVERY category post on category pages. I went through all my plugins, turned them all off, and then reactivated and the only one that causes this is WP Hide Post. Either it’s conflicting with another of my plugins or it’s got a problem that needs fixing. The site is built on the Thesis theme and everything was working until recently. However, I’m not sure which update broke things (WP? The 2.03 beta? Another plugin?) as I didn’t realize until today that the category posts weren’t showing. This isn’t the first time I’ve had problems with this plugin hiding everything, btw. I can’t remember what fixed it the last time – maybe an earlier version of the beta.

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] Update Failed: Download failed. Not FoundPlease note – we had this same issue, using the latest version of WordPress, and were forced to manually download and update the plugin. There IS something wrong that needs fixing…

In reply to: [BackUpWordPress] Various errors after latest updateThanks for the very quick fix! I’ve just installed 3.4.5 on one site and it’s working just fine. ?? Now on to all the rest…

In reply to: [BackUpWordPress] Various errors after latest updateI’ve got the same error on the first of many sites, so I’m not going to update any of the rest of them before this is fixed!
The widget doesn’t seem to be working now at all – EXCEPT on the calendar page (which it actually shouldn’t even be on, but I hadn’t gotten around to removing it from that page)
One thing I didn’t mention: the calendar is composed of 3 Google Calendar feeds – which each are the separate categories.
Please help – we do need that widget to work, especially on the home page.
I’ve now removed all the category pages from our menu and substituted the main “Calendar” page which does work and will show the categories and expanded views.
The site: https://rds-on.com
The non-working category pages are here:
https://rds-on.com/athletics-calendar/
https://rds-on.com/clubs-calendar/ – I’ve tried adjusting shortcodes etc. – to no avail.Widget, showing the main calendar works one minute and then stops working…no idea what’s going on there.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Days of Week IncorrectWordPress 4.3.1, running Thesis (Classic Responsive skin). Still have to set Monday as the start day in order to get SUNDAY. The calendar does show correctly then – we’re not having a problem with the day of the week not corresponding to the correct day of the month like sylwwwester is.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Days of Week IncorrectStill an issue for us. Everything set to Sunday and it shows SATURDAY as the first day. So, we set it to Monday and voila, it’s now showing Sunday. Something is still broken – we’ve updated the plugin and are running the latest version of everything.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Days of Week IncorrectStill an issue – mine is set to start on Sunday in Google calendar and on the site and it’s stubbornly showing Saturday on the grid view. We had to set it to MONDAY in order to get it to show Sunday as the start day.
Ok – figured out how to limit the length of the description with template tags – it’s in the documentation, but WHY isn’t it a simple setting like it was with the old version? This is a step backwards, IMHO.
https://docs.simplecalendar.io/event-template-tags/ for those who are looking for this.
Quick question related to this though – if I need more than one tag for a description, what is the correct syntax? I don’t have any links in the listings at the moment to test this, but is it:
Description: [description limit=”20″ description autolink=”yes”] ?? I tried putting the two things in two sets of brackets – that didn’t work. Now I have to go and try to clean up the really trashed CSS. ??

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Fatal Error on HomepageSame here – I think – no complaints from the site owner since I renamed the file.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Fatal Error on HomepageThree days now with the renamed file (hasn’t reverted) on GoDaddy managed WP and no issues. Hope that helps. ??

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Fatal Error on HomepageOk – on the rds-on.com site, which is a GoDaddy Managed WordPress site (not my doing – this is a site I recently got involved in) the calendar widget is not working in Safari and Firefox, but is fine in Chrome on the Mac. On Chrome on a PC (v42.xxxx) and in Firefox on a PC, it’s NOT working.
FTP’d in (with some difficulty – 3 FTP clients later and only FileZilla got me there) and changed the object-cache.php file to _object-cache.php and everything is now working again. ??
Will check back later tomorrow to see if it’s still working and whether or not the file is still renamed.
BTW – the plugin is working FINE on my Hostgator sites.
