I am not 100% sure what the translation is but I will add that we are very pleased with the PDF support that this plugin offers. We use it extensively in a portion of our website. So far I have not encountered any problems. Other than mistakes that I have made.

I think I understand. I made a change in Table IX-A7 and -A8 to facilitate this. And it sort of works. I find unless I change all the album cover types, the display reverts back to default when you navigate back to the Album as opposed to Page.

Also the inline change does not seem to propagate through to sub albums. Actually they do if I refresh the page.

The only error message was in the Import screen. Next to each PDF it simply said ‘Failed’.

Yes, I forgot to mention that when I deleted the album and recreated it, the Import was successful.

I just tried to recreate it by Importing a document and cover, deleting it from album and Importing again. It worked fine. Several times now. Maybe some cleanup in the background had not been completed.

I should let you know that this procedure worked. It is admittedly a work around. Thanks for your input.

I very much agree that plugin defined items should not be used for anything but what they were created for.

This what I would like to do to as a temporary measure until we can resolve their problems.

They created 3 folders in the /wp-content/wppa-depot/ plugin folder. I will create 3 new users with the exact same name as those folders. They will be of type ‘Author’. In Table VII-A, the only capability that they will be given is ‘Import’. These new accounts will NEVER login.

Will this preserve the files that are currently in those folders?

Or, do I need to let WPPA create the folder first, do some initializing and then move the files into it?

Okay, I see. This explains why they are missing. One of my users has created a website and has been using the /wp-content/wppa-depot/ folder to store some data files that are used in the website. We need a work around for this. I backed off to an earlier version of WPPA+.

If I create new users with the same name as the folders in the depot and give then upload rights, is it safe to assume that those folders are safe and won’t be deleted?

This would be a temporary situation until those folders were moved elsewhere. They tell me that this will involve a huge amount of work.

I and still having much the same problem. I have used 3 different browsers with the same result even after clearing the browser caches. This is only a problem Importing as Uploading works just fine.

Just now I put a document/photo pair in my personal depot using FTP. I then used the Import Photos menu item. Both files were imported and the PDF displays properly. I then put a different photo (only) with the same name in the depot and attempted to Import it. The Import fails now and the file is left in the depot. However, if I use the Upload Photos menu item, it works and the new thumbnail is used.

Now for no apparent reason, since the new photo was still in the depot, I tried to Import it. It worked!. However, the thumbnail does not update even though the photo Imported.

You can put HTML code in the description to provide a link to a YouTube video. Or you can download the video and upload it to an album. WPPA+ fully supports video files.
