    Thank you for getting back on this, I did review your process you suggested and that would not work as the two list really need to be very sperate. I do appreciate the info and when in the future Business Directory will work as multi installs I will be checking that out!

    Thanks again for the great product, support and help!

    Hi Bobbied,

    Thank you for reaching out to me on here and through your support site.

    I made the correction to the css file that the developer saw was the issue and it fixed everything perfectly! I will include my changes down below in the event anyone else in the future might have a similar issue with a DIVI theme.

    Please thank your developer for me as you all do such a great job with this product and your support has always been the best for the years I have used Business Directory. You all are quick and very spot on with the fixes!

    Thanks again.

    As for my fix for anyone else that might need it, the top horizontal boarders that appear on my category listings and on my themes homepage for each WP post were removed by chaing this code:

       Update wpbdp.css located @  ../wp-content/plugins/
       change " border-top:6px solid; "  to ->  "  border-top:0px solid; "

    Hi Bobbied!

    Thank you for the reply, I just created a ticket on that URL you posted, I included in my ticket the link to this thread along with some other info to my STAGGED site so you all can get in to that via the backend and look around also.

    Looking forward to hearing back from you all as to what can be done to help out on this.

    thanks again!
    Shane.

    CORRECTION:
    The 1st link in the my previous post is wrong and should be this:
    https://test2.8bitboyz.com/2.png (Showing the page with Business Directory deactivated)

    2nd link is:
    https://test2.8bitboyz.com/1.png (Showing the page with Business Directory active)

    P.S. Wanted to also add a correction to the previous post, our theme were using, “Extra” is a DIVI theme and the versions is 4.18.1 (latest build), not 4.8.1. (Again the mentioned issue is happening with all previous versions of this DIVI theme also)

    Thank you and hope these corrections help. ??

    Good morning,

    I know this thread is several months old but I just wanted to follow up (maybe it will help someone else too).

    All the current versions of the Business Directory (v6.1 and on) produced the same issues stated above however we finally converted our website theme over to Extra by Elegant Themes and all the issues from version 6.1 on have gone away. I know our now previous theme ValentiVersion: 5.5.4 By Codetipi was older so glad to be running the latest build of Business Directory again with no issues (knock on wood)!!!

    Thanks again for the great work you all do!!

    Hello,

    I noticed today you did another couple updates from the last time I checked and thought I would give it a try long with your suggestion on the “Show Listing Thumbnail Form”.

    There is still no changed with todays latest build of this plugin, and when viewing a listing it still shows the first image of the listing as the huge featured image. I did go into settings and ticked the various options for the “Show Listings Thumbnail Form” and none of them made a difference. Other than when I ticked WordPress Theme it showed the listing image as TWO featured images. haha

    As for the category view it is still showing a featured image of the very last listing on the category view page. With all this not working I went into the plugin and even switched templates, NO CHANGE. I went and disabled everything I could think of in “Appearance” under the plugin settings and still no change.

    If it would help I would be will to setup a staging site so you all could log in and see what I am dealing with in the event your not having this issue on your end. I once again reverted back to version 6.1 which is working 100% correctly for all display.

    Here are links to a couple images of todays attempt at version 6.2.4 and how it does not look correct.

    Thank you Garret!

    I look forward to a future fix for the categories view, hopefully sooner than later. ??

    As for the listing view, is that the new normal to show the first image associated with the listing as a big feature image?

    I just want to make sure that change on the list details is correct.

    thanks,
    Shane.

    Hi Garret,

    Wow the code was right there in front of me, thanks the video is super helpful!!

    The screenshot is exactly what I was referring to on the spacing, I will try the update and see if that fixes it. I wont be able to do that for a few days I think but will follow up on it.

    Again thanks for all your help, I will let you know how it all works out, I feel it will be just fine thanks to you!

    Have a great one!

    Good Morning,

    I see I also need to pull the css for the heading font formats and the spacing between the thumbnail and text for this listings page in conjunction with the css you were able to extract for me yesterday that worked.

    I spent yesterday afternoon and last night using the Developer Console on firefox and chrome and just am not able to find the css that controls what you found let alone the headings and spacing between the thumbnails and text.

    Again if your able to share with me how you located what you found yesterday as I feel I am just looking in the wrong place at the wrong thing.

    THanks again!

    Hi Garret,

    WOW Your code worked PERFECTLY!!!

    But how/where did you find it? I don’t see that article class in the Firefox or Chrome Developer Console. I guess I am not looking at the right place. Where am I going wrong?

    I ask as the theme will be changing and I will need to pull this again with the theme updates.

    Thanks for the great help!
    Shane.

    Adding to that last reply they both show the same .css code in the firefox developer consol however the page in question:
    https://test2.8bitboyz.com/bbs-listing/bbs_category/apple/

    is listing under “grid” on the far right of the developer console:
    GRID
    Overlay Grid
    div#wpbdp-listings-list.listings.dpbdp-listings-list.list.wpbdp-grid
    Gride Display Settings
    [ ] Displa line number
    [ ] Display area names
    [ ] Extend lines infinitely

    and on the page that looks correct:
    https://test2.8bitboyz.com/bbs-directory/
    GRID
    CSS Grid is not in use on this page

    These are the only two differences I can see. You have the urls to both good and bad pages if you need to see.

    Thanks!

    Hi Garret,

    Thank you for the reply!

    If I understand the article I need to create a .css file with one of those names stated in the article you linked to and place it under the wp-content/plugins folder.

    I used the Firefox developer Console to compare the .css from a page that looks right to the one I am asking about that does not look right. Sure enough there are some differences. I coped the CSS code from the Developer Console on the page that has the look I want and pasted that code into a file called wpbdp.css and placed that file in the wp-content/plugins folder.

    No change, I then renamed the css file to one of the other suggested names: wpbdp_custom_style.css and still did not work. I then copied the new .css file to the wp-content/theme folder and still no luck.

    My gut says I am putting the wrong thing in the new .css file I created. I am copying the code from the developer console that is in the middle coloum but feel I am doing something wrong, can you see what I am doing wrong???

    Here is the code I am putting in wpbdp.css file that if from a GOOD WORKING page.:

    element {
    }
    body {
      cursor: url('https://test2.8bitboyz.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/arrow4.gif') 0 0, auto;
    }
    body {

      color: rgba(0,0,0,.5);

    I forgot to mention the URL in my question (https://test2.8bitboyz.com/bbs-directory/) is to a staging location so you will get a notice about the security “Potential Security Risk Ahead”, just accept the risk and continue. ??

    @ynick sure thing, below is the work around @garret1996 sent me. Hope this helps you all!

    “I believe this is a bug relating to the publish button. In the meantime, you can select a draft listing then use the bulk actions to publish the listing as you see in the screenshot below.”

    The screenshot shows the directory listings and he puts a check mark on the ones you want to publish, then use the “publish listings” option from the drop box above the listings in the directory list.

    @garret1996 has been VERY helpful on this matter. He was able to get on our system and discover my issue is a bug in the updated software and provided me a work around for the meantime.

    Looking forward to future updates that will fix this.

    Thanks again.
