In reply to: [WP Hide & Security Enhancer] Recovery Link Not WorkedHi,
I fixed it! All I needed was a way to get back to the “Admin” settings page.
I saw the link to it when I put my cursor over the “Admin” tab, so I copied (typed) the link into my browser using “wp-admin” as the admin URL and it took me to the WP-Hide settings “Admin” page.
Guess what…nothing to do with cache or server. “Lizmoore-admin” was still there in the settings which means the recovery link didn’t work properly!
I managed to delete that and save the settings and it is now working fine.
Hope this helps someone else in the future.
Cheers.

In reply to: [WP Hide & Security Enhancer] Recovery Link Not WorkedAlso, I just tried installing a new plugin and it take me to the “mywebsite/lizmoore-admin” URL.
I am unable to install any plugins at the moment.
Hi dwinden,
I managed to login via the frontend login page although I know this is not ideal. I then checked the iThemes “hide backend” feature and noticed it was turned off – not sure how or why that happened.
It does seem like this is not an iThemes issue. I will have to find another thread to help fix this issue.
Thanks for your help.

Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: WordPress Source Code CleanupThe main lines I want removed are the ones that show which plugins I use on my site, ie. “<link rel=’stylesheet’….”. The reason why I want them removed is because my site is the first of its kind and I do not want to make it easy for anyone to duplicate it. With all of the plugins I use showing in the source code, anyone can replicate what I am doing in a matter of days.
I understand the information is “needed”, but I do not understand how it doesn’t show on other websites that use WordPress. On other sites that I have visited, there is absolutely no information on the plugins they use. If it is really needed in the source code, how is it that I can’t see that information?

In reply to: WordPress Source Code CleanupHi Mark,
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I cannot deactivate any plugins. I am running a fully operational website that I have launched to the public. Is there any other way to do it, such as inserting coding into the functions.php file to clean up the source code?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] 404 Page ErrorsI have done that. I have read several threads about this. I’ve tried changing my permalinks several different ways. I have also consulted my webhost to ensure that mod_rewrite is enabled which they have informed me that it is.
I tried deleting the plugin, setting all my permalinks to ‘default’ then re-installing the plugin, and now the site works but I cannot use any other permalinks with this plugin as it generates 404s with the pages and posts. I find this disturbing that it doesn’t work with any other permalink setup – this is obviously not good for SEO.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Constant DB corruptionHi David,
Thanks for your input. As I mentioned above, the database corruption occurred both when I ‘deactivated’ UpdraftPlus AND when I ‘updated’ it.
I have deactivated and reactivated every single plugin I have installed on my WordPress site and I have not had a similar issue with anything else other than your plugin. I have never had my database corrupted or any other issues with my site other than when dealing with UpdraftPlus.
I think it would be more constructive for you to take on negative feedback and try to fix the problem rather than pushing the blame onto something else, as I have seen you do with other negative reviews as well.
After one attempt at using your support forum and having the topic I posted marked as resolved even before I could reply to it, I thought it better not to waste my time. I needed to fix the issue immediately and knowing fully well that it was Updraftplus that was causing my database corruption, I decided not to post another topic on your support forum as I probably would’ve gotten something to the effect of ‘contact us for paid support’ as you had done with the previous topic I posted. It was easier for me to just completely uninstall the plugin and give my feedback on it.
Good luck.
Hi Messica,
Yes, thanks for your help.
Cheers.
In response to question 1, it shouldn’t affect any of your codes if you created a child theme and saved the custom registration pages in your respective child theme folder.
Hi,
I am still having problems with this. What I would like is to have a payment level set up as a ‘Pay by Check’ level. I would like for this level to have an ‘Initial Payment’ of $10 to be paid by bank transfer – which the details are sent to the new user in the registration email. However, even though I have set the ID of this level in the arrays for ‘Pay by Check’, there is still a ‘Checkout with Paypal’ button on the registration page and the user is required to pay the initial payment by Paypal.
Is there a way to set the entire payment process to be ‘Pay by Check’, ie. the initial payment to be paid by check and for the user to not be directed to Paypal for payment?
Cheers.
Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. I’m about to launch my website and I can’t do so without having this link.
I currently have 6 membership levels (3 levels set up with Paypal Express and 3 Pay by Check levels) and have 3 members set up. None of them show the ‘Change membership level’ link in the ‘My Account’ section.
Cheers.
There is some information on this page to change the look of the layout. It worked for me.
https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/add-ons/plugins-on-github/levels-page-ul-layout/You can also install this addon:
https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/add-ons/plugins-on-github/pmpro-custom-level-cost-text/
to change the description of your levels.Cheers.
I needed to disable the required fields for State, City and Zip code.
Worked like a treat when I added the additional codes from https://github.com/strangerstudios/pmpro-international-addresses/blob/master/pmpro-international-addresses.php#L53 to my functions.php file (in my child theme).
Thanks for this! ??

In reply to: [Posts By Tag] Ok onlyYour site’s display is, ultimately, controlled your your CSS.
Of course…even a novice like me understands this. BUT it is not THE ONLY thing that controls the display as I discovered when I used other plugins. And it wasn’t the issue here anyway, so your point is irrelevant.
Or perhaps your knowledge of CSS isn’t quite as good as you think.
Whenever did I say I thought my CSS abilities were good? Could you point that out to me please?
WordPress is designed for everyone…not just developers who are good with CSS, etc. So my abilities have nothing to do with using plugins. If WordPress users were supposed to know CSS, HTML, php, etc., we wouldn’t have plugins would we?
What exactly is your issue with me anyway? I haven’t done or said anything to you for you to make such a comment about my abilities. In fact, I don’t even know you personally! [Comments moderated]
