Ok so I am not sure what I am looking for. Sorry.
But I had another look in my media library and I can select the file and view the image in the section where you would edit this. So it is loading to wordpress but when adding to a post it appears as the question mark again. Please not too much jargon – I’m a beginner.

what is FTP?

It uploads as normal and where the thumbnail would be is a square with a ? in the centre. The host is 123-reg.

well it just shows as a question mark where the image should be? Have you seen this issue before?
