If you see your profile page, the email is the same of gravatar? Sorry for this questions, but it’s better to check everything again: wp-admin/profile.php

Hey there,
try to edit a blog post and click on SCREEN OPTIONS on the top, then put the flag on Discussion.

Now at the bottom you should see a box with Discussion. There should be a flag on “Allow comments”.
