In reply to: Database Update RequiredThank you for your reply.
I am using version 4.8. As I said, I have gone years without seeing this message and now it appears regularly. It seems strange but I will accept it.
I am running into the same situation with the twenty-sixteen theme. Hopefully there is a solution to this problem; the plugin could be helpful if I could get this working.
Take care,

Thank you for the offer; I appreciate it.
I sent your team an email this morning and I asked for an understanding of the process and potential outcomes.

In reply to: WordPress admin panel times outWhat about the error message; what does that mean? Does it identify the cause?
I just posted this on Weaver’s forum.

In reply to: WordPress admin panel times outOkay guys,
I switched back to 2016 and I could not get the system to time out. I went back to Weaver Xtreme and received this error message:
Warning: require(/var/www/vhosts/forgottenthymefarm.com/httpdocs/wp-content/themes/weaver-xtreme/inc/template-tags.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/vhosts/forgottenthymefarm.com/httpdocs/wp-content/themes/twentysixteen/functions.php on line 353
Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required ‘/var/www/vhosts/forgottenthymefarm.com/httpdocs/wp-content/themes/weaver-xtreme/inc/template-tags.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php54-cgi/pear’) in /var/www/vhosts/forgottenthymefarm.com/httpdocs/wp-content/themes/twentysixteen/functions.php on line 353
I reloaded the Weaver Xtremem theme and it activated successfully. I was able to time the system out again.
Could this be theme related?

In reply to: WordPress admin panel times outAnother update.
I swithced themes from Weaver Xtreme to Twenty-sixteen. I wasn’t able to re-create the time out with 2016. I switched back to Xtreme and I was able to time the system out.
Once I have access again I will switch back to 2016 to see if I can time it out. Please note, one test doesn’t prove anything.
Please continue to share your thoughts.

In reply to: WordPress admin panel times outGuys, thank you!
I have sent the suggestions and requests to my hosting provider. I will let you know their response.
@WordFence, I do use your plug-in, but it is currently disabled, along with all of the plug-ins.

In reply to: WordPress admin panel times outThank you. I will reach out to them again and have this conversation.
So far they have told me all is well on their side and they keep referring to the fact that others have access. They remind me that while they offer WordPress, they don’t support it and they continue to suggest it is a WordPress issue.
I am working with both sides; I just want this resolved.
Take care,

In reply to: WordPress admin panel times outI still do not have access to WordPress or the public site. It doesn’t seem like it is tied to the host providers since other aren’t affected. However, this is just a guess.

In reply to: WordPress admin panel times outTry accessing the public site now; https://ForgottenThymeFarm.com

In reply to: WordPress admin panel times outI just re-created the situation. I do it by clicking on the save draft button on a page (or post) that has not been published. I don’t know if this is the only situation, but it is the one I found.
Again, all plug-ins are disabled.
When the system comes back up I will switch to a WordPress default theme to see if I can re-create it as well. Please keep in mind, I don’t know if my actions will always result in a time-out message, but it seems to.

In reply to: WordPress admin panel times outThe system becomes functional in approximately ten minutes. WordPress is fully functional without me having to sign in again. It’s like nothing happened.

In reply to: WordPress admin panel times outThe host provider is Toast.net; they are a service provider.
When the system times out I cannot access WordPress or my public site. I have two devices, one Windows and one Apple, and both receive the time out error. However, others can access the public site from other locations when I cannot.

In reply to: WordPress admin panel times outI forgot to mention; I spoke with my host provider this morning and they have nothing in place that would restrict this type of activity.

In reply to: WordPress admin panel times outI have disabled all of the plug-ins and I still have the issue. I found a way to re-create it on demand.
I simply open a page or post and tell WordPress to save it. I repeat this save command five or six times immediately after the previous request refreshes the page. After the handful of saves WordPress shuts down with the time out error.
Ten minutes later the system if functional and I can do it again if I choose.
Any thoughts?
Take care,
Bill
