@bcrodua I looked at the BackUpWordPress plugin page and they suggested backing up files and database separately to see if one has an issue and one doesn’t. From that I discovered the files don’t backup, but the database had no issues.

It tried to find the backup log like you suggested and that is how I discovered I had posted in the wrong forum. Do you know how to find those in BackUpWordPress? I couldn’t find them.

Mine does the same for 1 out of 5 of my websites. Last successful backup was over a month and a half ago, and prior to that it worked fine for years.

Thank you for your assistance. I apologize, I meant to post this issue for the plugin “BackUpWordPress,” not UpdraftPlus, and am I still having the same issue.

Hi George, this is super helpful, thank you. Yes, I do backup both the database and files and it confirms it like in your snapshot.

I didn’t realize there was a forum for a the plugin.

Also, I would have attached a snapshot originally, but I don’t see how to do it. Although I am fairly certain I have achieved that in the past.

And yes, I can only find the larger file when I go into my host and look in the wp-content folder. Interesting you don’t see that in yours.

Thank you for running my scenario, it means a lot. I am trying to get proper backups before I migrate my site to a new host, and then proper backups moving forward too. I also have a second plugin “UpdraftPlus” that backs up with no issues to my DropBox, but it splits the files up into 5 types so not as easy to see what the total size is.

Hi, yes, you must have looked right after I fixed it only 2 minutes ago (see above). Thank you so much for responding and offering help.

I just figured it out! I went into the SideBar to DIVI > Theme Customizer > Homepage Settings > and changed from “Your Latest Posts” to “a Static Page” and then under homepage section did the dropdown for page menu list and added “home” and then republished. Now the website works with the main URL and you can access the portfolio page through the menu bar.

@t-p I don’t know where to find the DIVI support forum.

I ended up calling my host who normally won’t address WP issues, however, tech support was willing to give it a shot and he resolved my issue by going into the “Permalink Settings” and changing under the “Common Settings” from “Day and Name” to “Post Name.” No clue how this would fix issue, but it did.

@starapple I wish I knew how to resolve that issue you are having. I will leave this open in hopes someone has advice.

Was able to resolve 1 of the 2 issues mentioned above. I can now see each page with the “view” button, I do not get the 404 error page. I resolved this by referencing this page: https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/post-status/

My site is under construction. So I set 6 pages that are completed to “private” and “pending review” and the 6 I am still working on to “draft” and unchecked private.

I logged out, cleared cache and cookies and logged back in, however, I still get the Site Health Status > “The REST API encountered an unexpected notice” error in the dashboard.

Oh cool, so I did the right thing then by calling my host. I am new to this. Thank you for the help ??

My site is hosted by HostMonster and I am using WordPress as a builder and using the Divi theme.

I just hung up the phone with HostMonster. They uninstalled the WP install for me and I am in the process of reinstalling it now.

Was there an easier way? Luckily, I hadn’t built anything yet.
