In reply to: [qTranslate] Wp 3.1.3 qTranslate 2.5.21: editor brokenHey, just tested with an older version (2.10) and now it gives me the text edit screen and the warning Alfons got originally, but when I click ‘activate’ (at own risk) the box is gone again.
After that, I used the wp version automatic re-install, and then the older version was working after clicking activate. I then proceed to update the qtranslate, and now everything seems to be back to normal.
This probably isn’t exactly the same problem as Alfons’s, as I changed servers, but might be something to try.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [qTranslate] Wp 3.1.3 qTranslate 2.5.21: editor brokenI have the exact same problem after transferring my wp installation to a new server. It worked ok on the old one, but in the new one the text edit field is gone. Have also posted to the qtranslate forum about this but so far no replies – would be really grateful for all suggestions as installing everything from a scratch isn’t an option atm.
I transferred everything as is, so nothing has been changed as far as I know… Everything else works perfectly.I’ve been having that same problem for ages and it’s still there after the latest update a couple of days ago. Surely this could be fixed after all this time? I for one wouldn’t have a clue as to what to do in order to make it work (manually inserting link_label in the table) without further research.
Ok, sorry, omitted the links:

In reply to: [Gwolle Guestbook] [Plugin: Gwolle-GB] Where to change DATE format?I would like to know that too, as I’ve had to disable the guestbook entry dates altogether on my bilingual blog because of this
Thanks a bunch, Joseph! I knew it was something elementary I was missing – just automatically presumed for some reason that it would work in the same way as adding galleries.
The last thumbnail isn’t such a major problem, there’s usually enough photos to choose from so that one solitary thumb on the last row can be avoided. Just brought it up in case it had anything to do with the other ‘problem’. ??
Thanks again!Yes, the thumbnail issue just came up ‘accidentally’, it’s not the issue here. I have checked the page with Dragonfly but didn’t find anything that would seem to stand out. Font size, line height, margin (could that be it?), background colour and a couple of other background related rules were about the only overwritten ones.
I couldn’t provide a link earlier because there wasn’t one, here’s a link to a test page. There seems to be something odd going on with the aligning of the gallery thumbnails as well. In the third gallery, ‘Kotka’, the last thumb is placed on the right side of the page rather than left, whereas in ‘Keuruu’ the bottom row is aligned to the left…Regenerating the thumbnails helps to restore part of them, uploading them one by one seems to work (although obviously it would be nice to be able to upload all at once though).
Any suggestions as to where to look if it is a css issue? I’m using the PageLines StationPro Theme which should be optimised to work with NextGen Gallery and even has several built-in features like a carousel template page that can be used with NextGen (I have asked the developers as well, but any suggestions would be welcome).I have the same problem, although I don’t really care about the admin panel language. It would be nice to be able to translate at least the ‘photos’ and ‘show as slideshow’ on the album and gallery pages though, so if anyone knows how to fix the issue I’d like to hear it too.
I’ve now tested on two different sites, on different servers and have the same problem on both, also when viewed in different brosers.
Additionally, a worse problem is that if the gallery/album has more than a few images, only some of them are showing (like 3 out of 9), the other are blank but do show up when I click on the blank square so they’re there, just not showing. Beginning to look like I’m going to have to look for another plugin…It’s the latter, compact view. It’s basically showing pretty much in the same way as the extend view, only without the texts and smaller. Can’t show what it looks like as it’s not up at the moment.
Haven’t tried re-installing yet as I wouldn’t want to mess up the existing galleries and front page slide show. It probably won’t though, so I guess that’s next.Yes, it’s there.
Thanks for the comments. The slideshow on your site doesn’t seem to work on Opera though… Although if it is a choice between the two, I guess one would have to go for IE, Opera being a rather marginal browser after all. I just wonder what it is that’s causing this.
Thanks for letting me know! No, haven’t changed anything, maybe it’s a settings issue then. Hopefully others see it ok as well – personally I dislike IE immensely as a browser and wouldn’t give a hoot if something works on IE or not, it’s just that quite a few people use it and obviously things should work.
It’s not a major issue anyway as everything works fine when entering the site – as I said, it only happens after switching the language and on returning to the front page after having navigated away. And maybe it is some setting, I guess I better take a look at the settings next… ??
