1. No, there is no manual for Gmedia plugin.
2. Images can be searched only by title/description. Tags used only to filter images in a gallery.

You can delete images from original folder manually. In the premium version this can be done automatically with the option in Gmedia Settings.

You can try temporary disable it and test after replacing images.

Perhaps, you have some cache plugin installed. Did you try open your galleries in incognito mode after you replace some images?

Repair what? Images or database? In both cases you need a backup to restore files or database. To decrease database size a little you can clear logs on Gmedia Logs page and disable logs on Gmedia Settings page.

Please, check if there are images in ‘wp-content/grand-media/image/’ folder on your server. If you accidentally deleted ‘wp-content/grand-media/’ folder from your server then there is only one way to restore images: from server’s backup (if it is enabled on your server).

No, Gmedia has own folder for storing files and there is no option to load images from the outside. You can try WoowGallery plugin, which is using built-in WordPress Media Library for storing images and WP Media Library can be used with any CDN services.

Try clear cache plugin or temporary disable it. How it will load images without WP Rocket (assets lazyload) plugin?

Unfortunately, Gmedia doesn’t support html or webpages in a lightbox.

There are gallery modules where you can display categories as albums (actually all that modules has ‘album’ word in the module’s name) and load them via ajax. Just select [NOT IN] Categories = “Uncategorized” in a “Build Query” popup. There is no other way to load categories via ajax.
