    Hi WF team,

How do I block any registrations by domain?

I have a site that has users. It’s open to the public to register.

I have a bot that keeps creating account names such [email protected].

    Google Recaptcha isnt stopping it.

It’s traffic isnt showing up in live traffic, etc.

Result – I keep gettign these user accounts, but I cannot identify its IP address to block it.

So – how do I block a user by domain so I can stop this bot from registering account when they always come from the same domain ‘@wintds.org’.

    Thanks

  • Hey I had the same problem so I installed the “Ban Hammer” plugin and put the wintds.org domain on the blacklist.

Other valuable entries for the blacklist can be copied from here:

Hello @charliewilliams2383 and thanks for reaching out to us!

You should be able to see the hit from Wordfence > Tools > Live Traffic but if you don’t, it could be something else creating those accounts.

Are you able to get access logs from your host to show where these accounts are being created from?

How many admin accounts do you have active on your site currently?

    Thanks!

    Howdy @wfadam

I’m curious if this functionality has been incorporated into WF? I’d much rather use a trusted plugin (like WF) and not have to install any more plugins than are absolutely necessary.

Thanks in advance for your time and attention, and to the team for making a plugin that I can confidently recommend to my clients as “high-caliber and trustworthy”

    Hello,

I have the same problem and even with the Ban Hammer, it keeps coming, am I doing something wrong ?

I installed ban hammer but I can’t figure out where you add the blocked domains. I was assuming there would be something in the settings to create the list but I can’t find it. Ban Hammer 2.8 by Mike Epstein
