No plugin was interfering. I removed the WP admin and WP includes and reinstalled the older version of wordpress 4.5.4
Also returned to super socializer 7.7.7
Everything is now running fine at https://goawithfriends.com
Just we have to be apprehensive of updates

After adding this code, on front page the F button appears wherever needed but its ‘dead’. Nothing happens on click (for logged out user).

We can add call button at the bottom after iframe command to give it a feel of real app

Why my wildcard not working in any of the hosts? Please finally tell me whether it should be ‘A’ record and where should it point. To the main domain? Or it should be the IP address? Let me make a final attempt.
By the way how good is Bluehost hosting? (Original bluehost.com, not geo redirected sites). The WordPress website used to endorse it if I remember correctly. If its nice, I would have it. But as I know myself, to save money I’ll go for a 3 years hosting package. Will they solve my problem for sure? Has anyone here tried them?

What step you are following to setup subdomain site. So that we can figure out where you are doing wrong.

I install wordpress, clean install. Then I activate multisite by 2 line code in config file. Then I activate multisite in WP admin, then I copy the code provided by WP and paste it in config file. Then I create .htaccess file and paste the code provided by WP admin.
Is it necessary to create wildcard in cPanel? If so, maybe I am doing wrong in that.
