In reply to: JPG images not displaying in Media LibraryNever mind. I had added a code to prevent hotlinking of my images in my .htaccess file. That was blocking display of my images within my dashboard.
The code was –
RewriteRule \.(gif|jpg|jpeg)$ - [forbidden]

In reply to: Upgrade WordPress Nothing HappeningI manually upgraded via FTP and it worked fine. The plugin upgrade that was receiving a similar message also got resolved. I’m not sure what was causing the problem.

In reply to: Upgrade WordPress Nothing HappeningI’m getting the following msg and nothing seems to be happening:
Downloading update from https://www.ads-software.com/wordpress-2.9.1.zip.
Unpacking the update.
The status bar at the bottom says, Done. But I don’t see any activity or any error message.

In reply to: wp-super-cache – missing mod_headers errorThanks. I don’t have root access to the server so I’ve forwarded your message to my hosting provider.
UPDATE: Unfortunately, since I host my blog on a shared-server. I can’t make the changes. I got the following message from the tech support guys:
I am sorry but we cannot change the server configurations as we maintain a standard prep across all our shared hosting servers. Custom modules can be implemented only on dedicated server solutions
BTW I use Total Choice Hosting for my hosting needs.

In reply to: future request: Google Sitemaps – Rebuild sitemap optionHi Arne,
Unfortunately, the sitemap on my blog gets rebuilt even when adding or deleting a comment. This is significantly increasing the time needed to post a comment. Can we somehow exclude comments? I don’t mind the delay while publishing or editing a post.

In reply to: All comments marked as spamYou mean the Spam Karma and Akismet plugins? I am sure, if I do that it will work but then I might be exposing my blog to tons of spam which thanks to these two I don’t see much of right now.
I meant to ask, why would a theme change ‘spank’ comments as spam?
