Just to add my twopennyworth. I’ve been following @mungbean on various support threads in trying to solve this issue of importing Pods Custom Fields.

I tried WP Import Export Lite and while it exported everything perfectly, it refused to import the custom fields even using its download file. I’ve left feedback on the plugin support page.

I then tried WP All Import’s demo and discovered the same as @mungbean – it needs another plugin and the only one recommended has been abandoned.

Finally I discovered WP Ultimate CSV Importer (https://www.smackcoders.com/wp-ultimate-csv-importer-pro.html) which also has a demo, set up my PODS to test and it worked perfectly. Pro version isn’t exactly cheap but it is unlimited domains and lifetime support and I have 16,000 lines to enter so worth it for me!

I used your demo to set up my PODS to test and it worked perfectly.

Thank you so much for great work and for supplying a demo so I can test it thoroughly before buying. Now off to become your latest customer… ??

Some more information. Export works perfectly and I can export the extra POD fields Address and Occupation but if I try and import the same CSV file with a few changes to the data it will import and update everything except these two fields.

UPDATE: I have realised free version doesn’t support PODS.

I have this issue too but I’m assuming that it’s picking up template code that references other sites legitimately but has passed the scan because there there are no redirects etc. Is that correct?

And how easy was that. How did I not try this! There I was ferreting around in single.content.tpl.php LOL! Thank you…

Thanks but not quite. I’m sorry. My fault for not being specific enough. I want the image links removed only on the single listing page.

Thank you for the pointer though. I’ll tinker with the css to see if I can solve it now.

I’m sure previously that if you didn’t choose Lightbox then there was no link to the full size image but I think Salman suggested it always worked as it does now. I’m curious if that’s actually true because I would never have wanted that but lockdown plays tricks on my memory!!

@burningthumb yes this was my experience. It broke the site completely. It had worked up until 7.4 was installed by the host.

I have done what you suggested and the plugin activates and everything seems to be working now. So thank you very much.

@zymeth25 I haven’t tried your fix as @burningthumb said it didn’t work. You say you’ve tried it on 7.4 and it works but this definitely isn’t my experience although I’m now not sure specifically whether it’s 7.4.16 or earlier.

Anyway, I’m happy it works again. It’san incredibly useful plugin. Will you be putting out an update shortly?

Still having an issue with this on the live site. Everything has been updated to latest versions.

I installed a copy of the site on my own hosting with a 7.3.x version of php and everything worked correctly as before so this is mystifying.

I’ve tried several older versions of the plugin on the live site and the fatal error remains.

Is there any help anyone can give please.

I think I would echo this! Although I’ve used BD for years the site hasn’t been updated for a long while. The new version is excellent. Love the addition of the FB url.

Further to earlier comments on the site slowing down. I have now replaced all the photos for my largest parent categories which have several children. If I tried to list all the entries in the parent category then it was almost impossible to get them to display.

One by one I updated the categories with new photos until only one child category remained. There was barely any change in the length of time it took to display the parent category listing.

As soon as the last remaining child category was updated the parent category displayed as expected. Then new images were still larger than the thumbnail size displayed but whatever processing is now going on to show the thumbnail is much more efficient.

So for me it’s fixed. Hope this helps.

I just messaged the support team about this and then thought I’d come here to see if anyone else had the problem. Originally I thought mine was with all bold and heading tags but it was links too. Posts were all formatting correctly.

The problem has been solved by looking at the form fields as suggested in the link above. The allow html box was unticked. I don’t recall making any changes to the fields. Is it possible upgrading the plugin could have affected this and unticked the box? I have been using the plugin for years but the site has been unattended for a while and only just been updated through the last two versions.

I’ve noticed this while revamping an older site which has used the business directory for a long while. I’ve narrowed it down to category pages where there are a lot of entries and photos. Categories with only 2 or 3 listings load instantly whereas those with more than 6 begin to lag and if I try top level categories where there may be a lot of entries then I give up.

I will take another look at the photos as I may have loaded some that are significantly larger. I have also just created my own t emulate files so wondering if that is a factor too.

I only post this to add my observations. Will post separately if I can’t resolve it.
