In reply to: [Yoast SEO] XML Parsing Error – syntax errorThis is getting pretty frustrating… I tried a couple other sitemap generators and this is still the message…
Could there be some conflicting plugin? Is WordPress causing an issue? Ugh!

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] XML Parsing Error – syntax errorI really appreciate the quick response. Unfortunately, changing this to 5 did not matter.
I will upgrade WordPress to 3.6 this weekend, just to be sure, but as I said.. It worked fine a month ago… and I am only at the previous release, not way back.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] XML Parsing Error – syntax errorI tried the suggestion (set to 25 as well) and that did not work… I have thee network version of WP installed.
BTW… last time I checked it (oh, say a month or so ago), it worked fine.
I get this message on my sites….
This page contains the following errors:
error on line 2 at column 6: XML declaration allowed only at the start of the document
Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: bug in 3.2.1? Update is never acknowledgedI found the problem… feel free to spread the news… many themes seem to have a problem with updates. Checking my system error logs I found the error:
“FastCGI: server “/usr/local/say5/dcroot/cgi-sys/php5.fcgi” stderr: PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function add_contextual_help() in /home/deer3/public_html/mblog/wp-admin/network/settings.php on line 22, referer: https://mblog.3deers.com/wp-admin/upload.php”
I probed around the code, and got a hunch it was a theme issue. I went to the default theme, and the updates work! I then just revert to the theme I like.
Unfortunately, I have to do this on EVERY upgrade…
