In reply to: [The SEO Framework – Fast, Automated, Effortless.] Article Schema in PagesHello @cybr ,
Thank you for thorough explanation. It does make perfect sense. I disabled all plugins but TSF and the extra Article markup was still there. Then I switched to the Twenty Seventeen theme and it was gone. I should have thought of that.
So, my issue is coming from the theme I am using and not TSF. I will be checking theme’s templates to disable it. Thank you for pointing me to the right direction, appreciated.

In reply to: [WP Robots Txt] Doesn’t seem to work when WP installed in subdirectoryHello @chadcloman ,
Thank you for informing me about this scenario.
In theory, you can only have onerobots.txt
file simply because web agents only look for robots.txt files at the root of a domain/web server. The robots.txt specification declares that the robots.txt file may exist only on the root folder:example.com/robots.txt
. Outputting the file on a subdirectory isn’t permitted:example.com/wordpress/robots.txt
.
This is interesting and I will be looking into it more, to offer a solution for this case as well.May I ask, which one of the two methods described in the link you referenced did you use?
Thanks again,

In reply to: [Simple CPT] CPT Taxonomies are not showing in url and breadcrumbsHello,
For your URL structure please have a look at yourSettings
->Permalinks
options. Here is the documentation about it.About
Breadcrumbs
, that depends on your theme and its display functions in the templates.I would suggest to install one of WordPress default themes (like 2020) and test your setup with it. You can then switch back to your own custom theme. This way you can narrow down any issues you may have and see if it is your theme causing it.
Hope this helps, thanks!

In reply to: [Simple CPT] CPT archive template not showing on archive pageHello @vartdomen
This is again not related to my CPT plugin. I did not correct anything in your previous support request of yours, I only confirmed that everything was working properly. You should understand that this plugin is used only to register new CPT/Taxonomies, not to display them. And you have registered your CPTs correctly. What you do with them thereon though, is out of our scope here. These issues you are having are probably because of your theme, its templates and the way you setup your pages.
For example I did a search on your site forobyavleniya
:
https://mwc.rezolute.iron.hostflyby.net/?s=obyavleniya
I see two ads:If I click the category name on one of those, we see an empty archive template at
https://mwc.rezolute.iron.hostflyby.net/ads-categories/dveri/This means your theme templates are not properly setup.
The same with your ads archive at https://mwc.rezolute.iron.hostflyby.net/obyavleniya/
It’s empty, not because the Simple-CPT Plugin is not working, not because you don’t have Ads, but probably because your theme’s templates are not properly setup to display the archive query:The body classes confirm that we are at the correct template, the archive template for your ads, but we see no ads. We know there are two from the Search template I mentioned earlier.
Again, my plugin has no problems, you are using it correctly, your CPT is registered properly, you have created Ads, but your frontend display method is not right. Please reach out to your theme author for more assistance on this.
Hope this helps you out, thanks!

In reply to: [Simple CPT] Permalink not availible for the custom post archiveHi again,
Even though this goes beyond the free support provided here on WP.org, I did have a quick look at your website.
Everything seems in order to me. You have created a new CPT calledadvertisement
using my plugin. The Advertisements are created here.
This new CPT appears in the list of Oxygen’s templates, under singular here. Thus you can create templates with your builder and assign them to the CPT you create with my plugin.
If you want to create an Oxygen template for the Advertisements Archive, that is also possible. So I don’t see any problems nor the error message you sent in your screenshot.
I have create a new Advertisement post to test and everything seems fine. Here is its permalink and here you can edit it.
Let me know if you still have a problem, and if yes, please send exact steps to replicate. Thanks!

In reply to: [Simple CPT] Permalink not availible for the custom post archiveHello,
I am not familiar with that Oxygen builder but can you please confirm that you have these options set in your CPT?
After that you should flush the rewrite rules. To do that please go to your admin dashboard and underSettings
->Permalinks
clickSave
again. Here is a video that demonstrates this.Try again to see if you still get the
permalink not available
error message. Let me know how it goes, thanks!

In reply to: [WP Robots Txt] Error 404 on robots.txt fileHello,
This plugin supports multisite if you’re running a subdomain configuration but unfortunately not with subdirectories. If you’re adding sites as subdirectories, you can only have one robots.txt file simply because web agents only look for robots.txt files at the root of a domain/web server.
The robots.txt specification declares that the robots.txt file may exist only on the root folder:
example.com/robots.txt
. Outputting the file on a subdirectory isn’t permitted:example.com/invalid/robots.txt
.If you use subdomains instead of subdirectories for your multisite, you can have multiple robots.txt outputs, such as at
valid.example.com/robots.txt
.From a technical perspective, a multisite installation with subdirectories is considered one large website in that regard. Thus you should consider adding your subsites’ rules as global rules in the main robots.txt
Hope this helps!

Please let me know if you notice any other issues or improvements.

In reply to: [WP Robots Txt] Can this plugin work for multisite?Hello,
This plugin uses get_option() and update_option() to store your revised content. These are used to interact with thewp_options
table. This table is specific to each blog id. You may have awp_options_2
and awp_options_3
table; where2
and3
correspond to that blogs id.The plugin then adds the filter ‘robots_txt‘ to adjust the dynamically created
robots.txt
files that are unique to each blog (subsite). So in theory, yes. Let me know if you have any issues.
Thanks,

In reply to: [WPS Hide Login] Security VulnerabilityHi, they said in another thread that an update is coming soon:
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/vulnerability-on-wordpress-wps-hide-login-plugin-version-1-9-1-1/#post-17336048Got the same message from Plesk’s WP Toolkit. I don’t use Multisite though.
Is there a fix coming soon or should we look for an alternative? Thanks!Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Clone Posts] Cloning Posts with serialized post metaHello @bradvin
You are right, there might be cases where the post meta value should be unserialized before being copied over.
Your conditional though is redundant imo, since that’s exactly what maybe_unserialize does in the core.
I’ve just pushed an update based on your improvement suggestion mentioning you.
Thanks a lot for reporting this, cheers!
