In reply to: Zend errorZend Optimiser is used for working with encoded files. It isn’t, as far as I’m aware, used by WP core.
It sounds like the site might be using, or has used in the past, an encoded theme or plugin.

In reply to: 2 Sidebars, one for posts and one for pagesFind a theme you like with two widget ready sidebars; and just add the widgets you want to display. There are a lot of themes to choose from that should enable that.

In reply to: Adding posts retrospectivelyYou can set any date and time you want for your posts, without the need to go into the database.
When you write a post, look just above the “Save” and “Publish” buttons. You should see something that says, “Publish immediately” with “Edit” next to it. Click on that “Edit” and you can adjust the post time.
Editing existing posts will be much the same.

Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Plugin: Page Links To] Plugin difficult to find…Thanks for the recommendation Mike. I hadn’t seen that plugin, and it’s just what I wanted to solve one of those wishes that isn’t necessarily a problem. When I use a drop-down menu, I like the original page in it too. This plugin has enabled me to do that.

In reply to: Scheduled posts?I haven’t experienced this problem; and hope it stays that way, as I use the feature a lot.
Could it be a plugin conflicting with something? It would be worth trying to disable your plugins one by one to see if that resolves the problem.

In reply to: All Themes Broken — “missing Stylesheet message”?MoTStudio and moshu may well be right, and there’s a problem with your install. But I’ve got some thoughts you might want to try looking at before making any drastic changes.
Are the other themes in your directory narrow like the default theme you’re using? The reason I ask is that it looks as though you have some pictures that are too wide, and the Bookmarkify thing looks wide too. The main column is set to 450px in the CSS, so you ought to keep all fixed width content (pictures etc) less than that. The Bookmarkify thing is 475px, and some of your pictures are over 500px. What I think it means that there is sufficient room within the full page width for the side-bar, so it’s getting pushed down to where there is space.
I would suggest that you try disabling the Bookmarkify plugin, and reduce the number of posts on the front page to two — the first couple of posts pictures should fit okay. If that brings the side-bar back to where it should be, you can put the number of posts back to how you have it now, and make some adjustments to the larger pictures. And you may need to alter the Bookmarkify thing too.

In reply to: Need to remove link to Profile from Post pageThere’s a few plugins that might do what you want, but I haven’t tried any of them.
They may work, and would certainly be worth exploring further for your needs.

In reply to: Mandigo stretched background patternJudging from the blog linked to, it looks as though keys05 did, indeed, solve this. I’m trying to contact him through a link on there. I would quite like to solve this for my blog — only realized it was happening very recently when I decided to see what a background would look like.
If I get a solution, I’ll add it to this topic.

In reply to: Transparent logo bg shown as white in IEIt’s because you’ve used a transparent png image, which Internet Explorer doesn’t support (can’t remember if IE7 does). There are a number of fixes available, if you search for “png fix”. But the simplest way might be to use one of the plugins available; this one looks as though it will do the job:
