I am not sure of the theme name as it was done by our initial developer who has since moved onto work with Seth Godin now on the Domono Project. I might be able to get through to him to find out if it is critical to the question. I assume you do not see what I have stated in quotes above in my earlier post when you go to post in your own WP. My guess would be to use one or the other SEO tools as using them both may improperly load the pages with redundancy. I can also experiment with using one or the other and both as far as traking a certain page but that may take a good while. Let me know what you can if possible. Thanks!!!

Sorry I probably am using the wrong term with this for WP. On each page it is under the the place where you make your post. It starts with “SEO Details & Additional Styles”. You have the place to put in your own custome title tag, meta description and key words. Then if you have All in One SEO Pack it shows up at the very bottom of the page. I am asking if I should put entries in both places or just go with the All in One SEO pack space to do this. I am really looking for the very best way to get our page SEO set up. Samuel, thank you so much for taking the time to look at the plug-in and for your time today. I will make sure I can get into our server and remove the folder then see if we can get it working again. I thought about doing that but I do not have access to our WP host site server. I guess I will either need to contact our host, Page.ly, or will need to sign up for FTP access to do this. Either way if the header information is messed up in the latest Contact Form 7 upgrade it may fail again right? The sequence of events leading up to the plug-in failure as best as I can recall is that we upgraded the plug-ins one of which was the Contact Form 7 one to 3.0.2.1. Then a day later we upgrade the WP site to 3.3. Then a day or so after that I noticed we had not upgrade the seven eleven theme and did that last night (we do not sue the seven eleven theme so ther was no php or css re-coding needed). Then apparently either around the same time as the last step or possibly later in the evening the plug-in failed with the error message about the “missing header”. Let me know if you see anything else that may apply before I go the the site host about it. Thank you so much for the quick reply today!

In the WP dashbooard we have been notified we can update the Twenty Eleven Theme from ver 1.3 to 3.3. However the warning given is “Any customizations you have made to theme files will be lost. Please consider using child themes for modifications.” We are fairly new to WP and this looks like if we just hit the upgrade button we may loose our website. I am probably reading more into the note given but just need a little help or reassurance that it is OK to upgrade without having to go back to our web developer to re-do our site. Any guidance with this would be most appreciated as i could not find anything really givin instruction about the note or warning given.

Thank you for the reply back. However I was able to work through a solution. Since our subscribe forms on our site were using first name, last name & email address when Popup Domination only called for first name & email address I simply created another email list in MC for those who would subscribe from the Popup Domination effort with ony the first name & email address tags. This not only got the MC code to work just fine in Popup Domination but also provides a better list segment so we can track it separately as compared to our usual list sign up methods. Between your solution and this one I hope others may also be able to use Popup DOmination as it really is working better than the “Hello Bar” we had used previously.

What I had to do was to go back into MailChimp set up another email list that only uses the 2 fileds (First Name & Email Address). I had to be sure the tags were lined up for the first name and email address fileds just as they are with Popup Domination. Then I used that PHP code in WP for the Popup Domination to be able to use that list without having to change all of our other lists. It actually turned out great to have the other list so we could track where we are using the popup for “featured downloads” as opposed to siging up for our blog posts. I am seeing if those that sign up this way will also want the daily blog post email by siging up using our usual methods on the site. If it becomes an issue I see where we can make groups in MailChimp and then go back to WP so that it would also give them the choice to sign up for the blog posts as well. I hope that helps.

I also am using the MailChimp program but am having trouble with the “Mailing List HTML” area. When I use the code provided by MailChimp and add it to Popup Domination it just cycles the user back to our website. I feel it is because we use First and Last name along with the email address when Popup Domination calls for just the First name and email address. Since we have several areas on our site where the form is being used outside of the offer we are making with the Popup Domination I would hope to not have to change it all over to just the First Name & email address if this is possible. Any suggestions would be most appreciated so we can begin using it as it is vaporware at the moment.
