Yeah, nah! Priit and his team created the most kick-arse plugin. Got lots of RAVE reviews, spent years doing a bit of support on it but not really a software dev company. They probably decided their time and development money was better spent elsewhere. I don’t blame him. A donation model does not monetize.

Given it was last updated 4 years ago, it’s a great bet that it’s abandoned. But the good news is that he did the right thing by it and put it on github with an open license. So hopefully someone will love it enough to fork and develop further.

Meanwhile I keep using it as long as it works.

I noticed that on my settings page it says
The URL to your sitemap index file is: https://

But the sitemap (and sub-sitemaps) are at https:// and link to the https:// versions.

I have wp-config.php
define('FORCE_SSL_ADMIN', true);

Settings>General
WordPress Address (URL) https://
Site Address (URL) https://

and a 301 redirect in my .htaccess from https:// to https://

So it works for me as I want https:// everywhere

Check your INCLUDE and EXCLUDE options.

It worked for my test site. I want a different popup for just 1 page. So I EXCLUDE that page from the default popup and INCLUDE that page on the custom popup.

It works for me. Redirection plugins don’t play well with other redirection plugins. I had to disable Permalink Redirection for it to work. WordPress 4.7.3

Fix with a plugin Multicons [ Multiple Favicons ]

I haven’t tried Multicons, but it may be an easier fix for you.

That and similarly named file requests are for favicons from mobile devices and tablets (not just Apple). I’m guessing your theme has not got them by default.

Simple Fix
Create and put the following files in your root directory

• apple-touch-icon-57×57-precomposed.png
• apple-touch-icon-57×57.png
• apple-touch-icon-precomposed.png
• apple-touch-icon.png

The 57×57 is pixel size. Make the others 180×180.

You really only need apple-touch-icon-precomposed.png to fix the vast majority of your 404’s. You’ll still get 404 errors for legacy iOS and Android devices but you’ll have a lot fewer 404 errors in your logs.

Explanation
The Icon and Image Sizes section in the iOS HIG states that you should create the following icons:

• one that measures 76 × 76 pixels for iPad and iPad Mini models with a 1× display;
• one that measures 120 × 120 pixels for iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 6 (which have a 2× display);
• one that measures 152 × 152 pixels for iPad and iPad Mini models with a 2× display;
• one that measures 180 × 180 pixels for iPhone 6 Plus (which has a 3× display).

But Apple seems to just use a single 152 x 152 pixel file.

You then should look at how your theme deals with app icons.

Okay I worked it out and am posting here for anyone else looking for a solution.

In the Customizer > Theme Options do not put Home as your first section. Think of Home as Section 0 then there are 4 additional sections you can use.

You are correct that paragraph is in the description, so I’ve bumped my rating to 4 stars. But it is buried at the bottom of 2 pages of text. Please do consider making that stand out a bit more. It would stop some of the hostility you attract.

Looking at the Pro demo it seems worth it and I’ll consider it for another project.

Mine still says Stop Spammers Plugin Version 6.13. The installed plugins page says it’s 6.14.
