In neither case was there any error message generated. My hosting company does not like to be at the most current release of any software due to potential security bugs. If there are restrictions for certain releases of PHP and mySQL I would think they would be documented. Our other wordpress site which is at 2.9.2 works flawlessly.

In reply to: v3.0.1 wp-admin left menu problemsok, update time….. I had the PHP upgraded from 5.1.6 to 5.2.14 and that fixed the comments and menus problems. Now however, I get the same thing as before with Users and Users worked before.
My mysql was also upgraded so my system is fairly up to date and wordpress 3.0.1 should work from a clear install with no issues, why am I now having problems with Listing the Users (of which there are 2) and the dashboard page is blank.
Is wordpress 3 really ready for primetime?

In reply to: v3.0.1 wp-admin left menu problemsJames, looks like we are going in the right direction, while it did not fix the problem, now the left menu stops at Appearance, it no longer put out the Plugins menu entry. Do you have any more ideas?

In reply to: v3.0.1 wp-admin left menu problemsJames, that is essentially what I have done. My first attempt at 3.0.1 was by upgrading a site that was at 3.0.1. That’s when the above issues started. I rolled that site back to 2.9.2 and set up a new domain, new databases, new location to use as a sandbox for 3.0.1. Alas, same issues. As I said before I did redownload 3.0.1 then uploaded the wp-admin and wp-includes which made no difference. I am really stumped and can’t believe I am the only person in the world with this issue.

In reply to: v3.0.1 wp-admin left menu problemsJames, tired it and still no luck. I have a dedicated server which has 12gig of ram and dual quadcore processors. It’s odd because the other wordpress site I have is 2.9.2 and it works fine. Am not using multi-site. I tried looking at the code but it is rather convoluted and very hard to follow.
Any idea where I might could go to get some additional help?

In reply to: wp 3.0.1 Admin – Comments not workingI did and it did nothing… When I click on Comments, it builds the left side down to Plunins then stops. I have done no customization to this install at all. Using the stock theme. This same thing happens when I click on Menus under the Appearance. This is most frustrating, can’t believe I am the only one having this issue. I have a site using the old wordpress and have no troubles with it.
