I suppose I can add other role line in the “if”-“elseif” loop to extend the user that can edit the plugin.

Thanks, this morning I found out that the block id is the same as the url in the block itself, displayed in the url, like: “../wp-admin/post.php?post=2916…”. The postnumber is the same as the ID.
I could not use the drop-down method because of some buggy Firefox add-on. Removed this add-on and now everything works as you intended.
I’m happy with it!!

Hi, nice to know that I can use a shortcode. Next question: How to find this content block ID? It’s not visible to me when I make or edit the block I want to use. So how to find it’s ID?

Are you sure I have to alter calender-small.php and not the /widgets/em-calendar.php?
I’m not a PHP guru but it states so intuitively in a comment:
