I think is unfair to give a low rating to this free plugin just because of the issues with the pro plugin.

I think this review should be removed.

There is something wrong with your theme, content is not coded correctly.
I checked your posts and the problem is also that there is only Title meta tag, but no Description meta tag. (If the post had the description meta tag the shared Facebook post would have the description despite the bad theme.)

Fix the theme or add the description to your posts via a plugin.

You can use “WordPress SEO by Yoast” plugin and go in “Bulk Description Editor” section. There you can quickly add decriptions to all current posts at once.
Also all your future posts will have the option to add the description in post editor (scroll down).

I followed and it’s all set as it should be.

I believe it’s a bug which is showing on your website too.

Well you can check on your website, there happens just the same. Click on tweet button and in the background opens the share-it box.

When clicking on the share-it button to choose other sharing options it works ok (no ads box).

The problem I have is when clicking on any share button (Like, Tweet).
For example: I click on Tweet and the small tweet share window opens. But in the background it always also pops up the overlay emailit box with ads box included on the left side. The ads box is very ugly unformatted.

How to get rid of this overlay box when clicking on Like or Tweet, etc…?

Something’s not right. In “Customize the Promo Display for your button” I have only these two options: “Later” and “Create Campaign”.
There’s no option to set it to “No” as you described above.

I don’t have this option.
The last option on the bottom is: Following Channels: Customize Channels.
Have you changed the settings menu?

I had the same problem via CDN. I disabled the CDN and logged into the website and discovered that my country was listed on the block list! I think it must happened after the last update (I did not put my country on that list I swear!).

So you can solve this by login via FTP and in uploads find the iqblockcountry.ini. Download it, then edit, remove your country code, save and upload it back. And then should be fine (right?).
As I said I discovered long time ago that this plugin doesn’t really work but I wasn’t 100% sure. Now I am!

However, a free CDN account (CloudFlare, Incapsula, etc) supports country blocking so this means that it’s way better than using the plugin because the block occurs before your website gets hit (you avoid all that traffic).

Ditch the plugin and get a free CDN!

To developers: please fix this, it’s been more than a month already. If you don’t have the time to fix it at least downgrade to 1.2.8 so the plugin could be usable again. Thank you.

Hello Catapult. Please can you make the message centered by default? It would look much much better. Now the text is on the left side and completely out of the website content (most sites have boxed layout). Thank you.

Until then I centered the message by editing the uk-cookie-consent.php in line 311 I replaced left with center so now it looks like this: text-align:center;

Guys disable plugin, then take the previous version from the backup and upload it over this version via FTP and re enable the plugin. It will work. I hope you are making backups of your website before you update the plugins. If anyone needs the v1.2.8 I can give it to you from my backup. It works well, no problems whatsoever.

I have exactly the same problem as heritageUsr.

This happened after the plugin update.

I have the wp_footer call in footer as seen in the FAQ.
My WordPress version is 3.8.2.

I fixed temporarily by going backwards to v1.2.8 which works well (I choose this exact version because the Facebook share works OK in v1.2.8 and adds the title, description and picture. Later versions are faulty.)

I have a similar problem when on mobile.
When in event the map shows of correct size for about a second and then suddenly enlarges covering most of the text and the map’s right side is off the page. I have not set any custom css, everything is default.
Any ideas how to fix this? I’m using a responsive theme.

I have the same problem, the hours in pop-up are of non standard format (am and pm are translated eg. 2pm is inserted as 2pop which made an error) so in event the time shown was always 0.

The string for 24h inserted into my theme’s functions.php solved the issue but I’m afraid many European users have this problem.

Please plugin author answer this. Thanks.
