Security of information is provided by PDFfiller online platform on one side (as you’re embedding fillable fields from interactive fillable forms stored in your PDFfiller account; PDFfiller platform works via https and the files are securely stored in the cloud storage) and WordPress platform on the other side (your WordPress website stores PDFfiller authorisation details ClientId, Client Secret and password that’s used to interact with PDFfiller).

Most probably OAuth 2.0 authorization server for WordPress that you have requires newer PHP version.

If your PHP version is older than 5.6 – please try PHP upgrade, which should fix the issue with PDF Form Filler plugin

What version of php do you use?

We recommend your host supports PHP version 7 or greater (WP recommend PHP 7 too).

Also we resolved this line of code for support older version. But, we can’t guarantee stable work for old version of PHP.
