Okay, my husband figured it out yesterday. I just create a page and title it “blog.” I don’t add any content to the page. Then I have the option to click on “blog” in the “post page” drop down menu. Simple enough.

I think I wasn’t very clear. Sorry about that.

I want to have a static home page and then have a tab at the top (next to all the other tabs) for people to click on that would take them to the “page” that has all the current posts.

ie. that tab would say “blog” and when clicked on would go to (www.example/blog) where all the current posts are.

I can give you a real example if you want.
