In reply to: [EasyBlog] Screenshot discrepancyThis is pretty generic set up instruction and does not address the issue in OP regarding the screenshot of the theme on the Daisy Themes site. How can I replicate layout without manual customization of a static front page? Are you showing a premium version?

In reply to: [Magic Embeds] Converting to SpanishThanks for your reply. This ended up only occurring on the admin view; once I published, everything was in English. My settings are all to English, though.

In reply to: Problems Upon Changing HostWell, first, I strongly discourage the use of GoDaddy (a registrar and hosting service) as a host. I had a WP install there and could not get into my database, then when I tried to move it elsewhere, could not download my files. It was a huge headache.
Make sure your files/directories that need to be writeable, are writeable, that .htaccess is present and correct and the site url and address in your database are updated.

In reply to: My passowrd does not work now to login so I can delete spam etc.Is your site otherwise accessible to the public? Have you checked for any issues with your host? Go into the database and make sure you are using the right email address/login name.

In reply to: Comments in reverse orderCaveat: The comments will be in reverse order, but the last (top) comment will be numbered as “1.”. One solution is to set the list-style-type to “none” so that there just aren’t numbers at all. I’d prefer to show the highest number instead, but have no idea if this is possible, or how to do it if it is.

In reply to: Creating Static Version of WP Site for CDLike xyzzy, I would like to know how to “retire” a site. I want to leave it live for reading, but not have to update the WP versions anymore since it is closed to new posts and comments. Are there certain files to remove that would prevent security problems in the future? Something added to .htaccess? Any help appreciated.

In reply to: Removing feedburner plugin options from databaseOkay, resolved. I took the feedburner options table out of the database, which didn’t seem to do much. Then, checked .htaccess, and found several rewrite rules concerning feedburner, which I removed. So, now I have a feed.
