hello, thanks for the response! i completely forgot to update this post and for that my apologies. i did actually get a response from @siniplyrathemes on another post where i asked something else and with this code:
.blog-feed-posts .entry-thumb {
display: none;
}

this worked like a charm. i’m only placing this code in here just to help anyone else that may come across it that this code worked perfect. i also let him know on that other post that it worked too. lol, hope that made sense.

ok, lol, i think i figured it out! i thought i needed to have a page dedicated to just the front page.

but after fiddling around with it, i was able to see the difference you were talking about.

so much to learn lol, but i’m learning thanks so much for the help. all good now. i just have one more question if you happen to get this?

ok, i think for some reason there was just a delay, after making the change and doing a test before publishing the changes. i now have it straightened out. been messing with different options for a couple of hours now.

it’s alright, at this point, i’ve gone through everything in the customization settings for the theme and have come to the conclusion that this is something that the theme doesn’t offer.

i’ve even tried having the recent posts selected on my homepage however it ends up removing my featured image i want on my homepage which is equally frustrating. i want my featured image for my homepage and nothing else but apparently that’s not an option when you select recent posts on homepage. rather frustrating.

i actually switched plugin’s to the display post plugin. and would still like help with getting rid of the gray background and borderline.

2) also, i have just made my first post and can’t seem to get the post title bigger and in bold. i have tried other suggestions given to others but can’t seem to get it to work for mine, so not sure maybe it’s how you mentioned how you need my website.

i’ve gotten to where i can change the size of the font for the entire page itself, but for some reason the post title i can’t seem to change. just thought to let you know just in case.
