regarding your first problem:

First, wordpress, by default, requires unique slugs.

There was an intention to allow same slugs across different languages, that’s maybe why your are find that problem.

2: i think you caught something interesting. i just tested and, indeed, there’s a way for that to happen. i’ll have a look!

it should work out of the box for any custom post type. I’ll have a look later the week to see what’s happening.

Hi bipolab, that question should be asked to the developers of qtranslate-x or similar forks. we just deal with the slugs. Hope you’ll find an answer there.

well, the plugin leaves the original slug untouched, in case the user removes qts.

so, you’ll see them “post_name”, but thats ok. we filter any calls to the wp functions that use them.

what is you permalink structure?

Hi comepot,

there’s an ongoing issue with collision with slugs. Do you mind checking if they are all unique?

and if not, can you test if it works properly with it? please also check against attachments, a client of mine had a similar situation.

optionniko, i tested your problem, and unfortunately, i haven’t progressed much.

I need to parse the query vars in greater detail. I guess that the most common structure is to have %product_cat%/product_name, so at least that must have to be working.

i’m glad that its working for you! to be honest, i’m working on rewrite rules but there’s some situations that i haven’t test, like hierachical sites! thanks for reminding me about those!
