At the moment, I’ve added a shortcode function that reads a file into my functions, and then called the shortcode on the page, seems to work at the moment, although if the theme owner updates his theme it will break. ??

I looked at those links, they don’t appear to do what I need (unless I’m reading them wrong) I did find human.txt which will read a file and insert the text, but I need to use ‘pretty permalinks’ which I’m not doing.

I’d just like to have a file on the server called ‘datetime’ and wordpress read the contents of the file and insert it dynamically into the wordpress page as it’s created/viewed/refreshed.

Yeah, it did parse it and convert the code & # 3 9 ; into an apostrophe, dang it.

Thanks for that, yup, I’ve hard coded my default colour and made relevant notes for as and when you update the plugin.

sure, I’ll update/edit the code and I don’t mind changing it again if you update your plugin (I’ll make a note of it’s location)

Another question, is there a place to put a default colour for ‘user answers’ that are entered, or will it pick up on the last colour user, or similar?

If I was to ‘reset the poll’ I’m guessing that resets the IP’s too and the people could vote again? (I do the same vote once a week)

Ohhhhh, I thought that was to block people, like, lets say trolls and you knew their ip, ok, I’ll give it shot.

I’ll have to live with editing yours then, as yours is the only one I was able to find that serves my need to make a post at 7.30pm, 8.30pm, 10.00pm and 11.30pm, while I’m streaming to my site, which in turns posts out to twitter and all those other social media sites.

I just wanted to be able to take your plugin, and say I’m streaming #outlast on Fri and Sat, it would say..

“Hey, come and watch me play #outlast at [my url here], @re-tweettag1, 2, 3, etc”

then the next weekend I might be playing Overwatch, so I’d only need to change one word, but it will still be the same line.

“Hey, come and watch me play #overwatch at [my url here], @re-tweettag1, 2, 3, etc”

only needing to change one word, in this case #outlast to #overwatch, but because of the way I have it at the moment, I have to go in and change it with a good few clicks to get me there.

If you can maybe suggest a workaround with your plugins, I’d greatly appreciate it.

Hmmmm, while I resolved it, it would appear that I’m unable to use ‘shortcodes’ within your plugin either. ??

That is a shame.

I tried setting up a shortcode (using a shortcode plugin) and then putting

[sc name=”testshortcodehash”] try to get computers to help you do what you are needing to do, this is really a test to see if it works, if it doesn’t I’ll delete it, I hope it does, then happy times. [sc name=”testshortcodeat”] in the subject auto post, and it did literally post what was in the shortcut.

I don’t know if it’s wordpress, the shortcut plugin or your plugin that is not allowing it.

I must be annoying my social media followers by now, displaying all this stuff, and then deleting it..doh!

Appreciate your feedback and ideas, I didn’t know there was a shortcode option, but I’ve since found a plugin and I’ll be testing it tomorrow.

Dun, Dun, Dunnnnnnn, it WAS WordPress.

I just installed a plugin to disable the WordPress Auto formatting (as I really didn’t want to mess with PHP) and the last post we’ve been discussing about, now looks all correct and spaced the way it should be.

While it wasn’t an issue with your plugin, I really thank you for allowing a fresh perspective on it and getting to a point were I know what was causing it.

When I switch the post to ‘edit’ mode, the spaces between the pages are there, but on the live mode they are not. I’ll have to deal deeper into the WP php’s and/or addons I might have running.

Still puzzles me though, that is does the same to your example picture, maybe it’s not an addon, more the WP itself.

Well, if you look at the email, I have a space between the paragraphs, but on your test it looks the same as my site, the space gets removed.
