well I dont like using unicode filenames on my web – so I use UploadPlus to get rid of unicode signs when uploading. The original file did not have any unicode letter in filename after upload.

This is a pain but is due to the way WordPress controls that upload page. There are not any hooks for plugins to gain access to the information prior to upload.

That is very bad. No one of my writes care about going to another menu to mark images. In my view, that much discourages from using Media Tags. In future if there is any possibility to revert it to import screen, pls do.
