Oh Look – it’s done it again!

Sorry Ryan, I can’t now remember. I haven’t done anything much with the site lately, as I find it too frustrating not being able to make things look like I want. The help and ‘documentation’ is very patchy when it comes to instructions for a non web design person and so I am rather put off the whole thing.

If you ever want any advice on how to produce good instructions and/or videos, let me know.

Yes I read the help pages on installing but I’m afraid I glazed over. It was just beyond me – I do wish they would use more screen-shots because if you don’t know what a ‘sprocket’ is there is no way you are going to recognise one or what to do with it!

Anyway I went to https://mandmprinters.co.uk/blog/wp-admin/install.php as you suggest and got code again so I am missing a link somewhere. I will have to wait till tomorrow and get hold of my host. It’s the database bit I expect. Thanks for trying.

I am joining this thread because I can’t find where to post a new question.

I am with 123-reg. They have installed WordPress alongside my static website in a folder named (originally) ‘blog’.

When I try to log on to wordpress to start, I am asked for a username and a password – which I don’t yet have. Can you tell me what to do next?

Or where to post a new thread – I just keep going round in circles!
