No one is using Coppermine? No hints? Tips? Suggestions? Alternatives to Coppermine?

Bah… i did that. *laughs* it only exported thru the end of 2007. I’m slowly but surely importing my database. This is a learning experience! Thanks for you help ??

Just for giggles…. i used the Yahoo Control Panel and installed a new version of wordpress. i exported from my current blog, imported to my “new” blog, but i lost 2 1/2 years worth of posts. (laughs) BUT, comments work, and so does pretty permalinks. Go Figure. Going to import my database into new blog, maybe that will work? who knows.

Any way to “export” from wordpress without losing all my posts etc? i have 5 years worth of posts! lol

Thank you for your suggestions ?? i would LOVE to move from GoDaddy as i have not had the greatest luck with them… but i run several sites thru them and to move everything over to another company would be too time consuming. I wish i had known BEFORE the problems i would have ??

any suggestions as to hosting companies??

If you “Quick Edit” a post, all the way to the right, next to “Status” is a box you check marked “make this post sticky”.

Before i deleted my wordpress install, i copied it – every file has this:

I wish i had both of your skills in this ….. i have had a few sites up and running for a long time, and i always have problems with security. is there a way to completely secure wordpress *or coppermine for that matter…* The whole thing began with that supposed jpg uploaded thru coppermine, so i’m assuming this thing is a coppermine as well as a wordpress issue. I’m ready to throw in the towel and just go back to a normal html site with no “problems”. *laughs* I will read into all of this, and hopefully i will be able to secure my site a little better.
