Thank you, @ibenic .
Wonderful, thank you!
Thank you, I can understand why you would not want an email to be changed.
That’s great news, @ibenic . Thank you for creating such a nice, easy-to-use plugin. When my list gets a little bigger, I plan to upgrade to the premium version. I’m just getting started with my site right now.
Thank you, @ibenic. Why does it appear as an option? There seems to be a cookie, perhaps, that remembers the person already subscribed? (The email is still there, but you can’t change it. I wanted to change it to another email to test.)
Is it possible for me to change the text on the page to explain this to users?
@ibenic let me add one more thing. I tested with a new email address, and it does record new subscribers under a new giveaway.
So it seems to recognize prior subscribers, but then the “you forgot?” link doesn’t seem to work.
Ideally, I would prefer not to delete the subscribers if I don’t have to. My subscribers are not likely to be tech experts. They are mostly older people who use tech only for fun. If their registrations could be remembered, but they could be allowed to sign up for the new giveaway, that would be easiest for them.
But if I need to delete them from the first giveaway to make it work, that is what I will do.
Please let me know when you have a minute.
Thank you,
PepperHi @ibenic , thank you for responding so quickly.
Couple of more things:
- Yes, the other emails seem to come through OK.
- I created this giveaway by cloning a completed giveaway. Everything seems to work OK except that when I go to test it with a test address I used previously, it gives me the “already subscribed” message. But, really, there are no subscribers–it’s a brand new giveaway (but created by clone). Do I need to delete all the prior subscribers of the other giveaway from the database? That seems weird, because then will all new subscribers be put in that (old) giveaway list?
Thank you,
Pepper
