Hello Eric, seems the issue re-appeared:

Undefined variable $prod_id in /home/…../wp/wp-content/plugins/simple-xml-sitemap-generator/index.php on line 44

Which means this line here in the plugin’s index.php:

$xmlpost_id_check = nl2br(get_post_meta($prod_id,’sitemap’,true));

System: WP 6.5, PHP 8.3.2

OK, this is a little dated, but I just stumbled across this post.

To me, the price of the Premium version is worth every cent. Not only in features and performance, but, as I can tell after more than one year using the plugin, in constantly fast and knowledgable support. Therefore I recently gladly renewed my licence. I should mention that support was also great while working with the free version first. In fact, I just just received a helpful support reply – on Christmas!

Before WP Ultimate Recipe Premium I used another recipe plugin (Easy…) where not even recipe indexing was included in the version I paid $25 for, not to mention the slowest-responsive “support” I ever experienced.

Still full ***** from me for WP Ultimate Recipe.

Maybe fixed meanwhile – I just tried and the elements close OK.

Wow, that was the fastest support I’ve ever experienced. With teh result I was hoping for!

I moved your code to my child theme’s funtions.php and it works fine there, too.

Oh, and I just purchased the WP Ultimate Premium Edition.

again I tried your code in both the child’s and the theme’s functions.php.

This time it didn’t crash the site, but Page content searches still deliver 404.

Hope you have more ideas on hand. I’d love to switch from Easyxxx to WP Ultimate Recipe. I’d be ready to purchase the Premium edition and call the Easyxxx Plus expense a loss…

Unfortutanely, the code addition didn’t do the trick.

I tried it in my theme’s child theme (Twentyfourteen, btw.) functions.php, as well as in the theme’s original functions.php (there both at the top and at the bottom, in case that matters).

In all three occasions, the screen would just go blank after refreshing the site (both frontend and admin). So I restored the original functions file.

Any other idea?

But that popup review/social share message appears only in the backend, right?

Update Oct 10 – got a reply from authors re. EasyIndex status today.

I am waiting since Sep. 14 for a reply to my ticket with a simple question (when EasyIndex will be available). Many unresolved issues on this page are up to 3 months old. I was ready to buy more EasyRecipe Plus licences, but meanwhile I wonder if I should just enter my recipes as regular WP pages, or use one of the generic database plugins.
