After a long time, I figured out the issue: Because I use varnish cache, all IPs were “local” and so the plugin couldn’t figure out locations.

Changing IP Config to “Use HTTP_X_REAL_IP” and updating fixed it

Didn’t work. Both issues I described still happen.

I know its a total of 3 sent messages for each and every registration. 1 for the user, to set a password, and 2 for me, to tell me a new user joined and that there’s been a password change.

That’s a total of 3 messages PER USER. 33 users and thats 100 messages sent, an hourly limit on a lot of SMTP services
