ah, figured out what the problem was. built in admin has the same email as the AD admin. ??

RecoverySI, this is caused by a plugin called Custom Sidebars. I’m having the same issue, the dev seems to be aware of this problem.

The pop up cannot be removed. I clicked on the scan link just for kicks, it got stuck at 67%.
At least if you’re going to make mandatory pop up, make sure the link works.

I just tested this on my site, it seems to be working okay. I’m not seeing any immediate issues.

I’m seeing the same thing. Makes me nervous to update when it says it’s a big update, changelog only shows admin improvements. Big update as in size, or major design change?
Have you had any issues with the update?

thanks wpatbest. I do have those lines in my child theme functions.php as described in the stack exchange forum, it just wasn’t working.
It seems that one plugin that I was using, has the option to enable html email, and that works. So this combination seems to work.

If I can figure out how to make the other plugins that send email notification, this would be sweet. Unfortunately those plugins don’t have the option to toggle html email like the other.

have the same problem and while googling I came to this post.

I followed the link, found the siteurl and home with entries to different domain.
I completed the steps under “If you have accidentally changed your WordPress site URL”
by adding these lines
update_option(‘siteurl’, ‘https://oursitehere’ );
update_option(‘home’, ‘https://oursitehere’ );

but they don’t fix the problem. I can open the site just fine, it’s just I cannot access the wp-admin page.

What else to check here?
