Sorry, this is not best practice, this is worst practice. The only real solution would be to delete any Analytics tool, that has got simply nothing to do in a WordPress Dashboard. In the EU this is illegal under GDPR, as you do not provide any information, which cookies a being uses.

Again: what, if all plugin-providers would do something like this? This could even kill WordPress.

But this has nothing to do with the settings. As I wrote, only the all-time-total of visits is wrong, while all the numbers for shorter periods look correct (means:. number of visits is higher than number of visitors)

Bots and crawlers are already blocked (and have been from the beginning)

No problem with the RAW HTML template.
Creating a completely new newsletter-draft without header- and footer- block and then using a text block and save it: same problem

The changes were made in the Composer, within a text-block.
The process: Edit Text Block – Apply, then Save

The result was a blank screen, that showed only the message
“Database error. If you were saving a newsletter try a table upgrade from the status panel.”

Pressing “Browser-Reloading” brought me back to the previous saved version of the draft (without the changed content)

Using the “Back-Button” of the browser displayed the draft again and showed the changed content. Trying to proceed to the sending-window again showed the same blank screen and message like above.

Also it seems, as if the message setting for unsubscribed users does not work anymore. There were several unsubscriptions, but no info mail to the saved email-address was received. This also did not work after rolling back to 7.5.9.

Using:
WP 6.1.1, PHP 8.1, Theme Twenty TwentyTwo

Right now there is a newsletter being sent, therefore I do not want to update the plugin to restore the message. I will provide all the info this afternoon, after the mailing is finished
