In reply to: [The Events Calendar] cannot set dateAfter setting everything up on a test server, this particular version of TEC and that particular version of WP were the culprit. Updating wordpress to 4.0 solved the problem and then I updated TEC to 3.8.1 and nothing broke.
Thank you.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] cannot set dateHi Leah,
I have turned off all other plugins and also switched the theme to 2012 and it still behaved the same. I am on an older version of wordpress, 3.6.1 as I have had wordpress upgrades break things. It looks like The Events Calendar 3.8 requires wp 3.8 or higher, so that will take a bit of doing. Was this known to be an issue with version 3.5.1? Is it possible to downgrade to one that worked before?
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Cannot add dateAlso, it still happens with all other plugins de-activated. Do I need to find a new calendar? If I paid for pro would it work? This is very frustrating. I think it worked until the last time I upgraded the plugin.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Cannot add dateHi, Was this ever resolved? It is marked resolved, but I do not see a solution.
I am having the same issue. WP 3.6.1 and Events Calendar 3.5.1. Cannot set the date. Always reverts to today’s date.
Since this thread is 5 months old. I would assume it was resolved, but I still have the issue. Is it the older version of WP?Here is a list of plugins I have installed

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] cannot set dateplease ignore the second post. I am using the free version. Still stuck on why it suddenly doesn’t work.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] cannot set dateIt occurred to me there could be an issue with the license, so I checked https://tri.be/license-keys/ and could not log in. When I tried to get my password and put in my email address it said “ERROR: There is no user registered with that email address.” But I know I paid for and had a working license.

In reply to: Theme Pinboard Social Bookmarks disappearedSince people are still looking at this. I was having these issues due to using any plugin that tries to “minify” the content.

In reply to: Broken urls since 3.6.1 upgrade!Well, I tried the permalinks. They all had an extra https:// every choice including default. I switched to default and back and it did no good. I did not see any relevant setting under Reading. I wound up having my host downgrade wordpress to the previous version and restoring from vaultpress. One of those things wiped out my statistics, but everything else is working.I would like to move to the latest and greatest version at some point. Am I the only person to have had this issue?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Broken urls since 3.6.1 upgrade!OK, I just did that and it still adds either an https:// or http// to the url. So I am assuming it is not the theme or the plugins.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Broken urls since 3.6.1 upgrade!I may have modified the theme a little. Can’t remember. Will follow advice in links you sent.
Just to clarify, all links work (including links in menu items) but all page urls have been changed in wordpress, but the pages are still there if you delete the extra https:// that has been added by wordpress.
Also, just de-activated Jetpack to see if that is the problem and when re-activating it, I got this error message (in case this sheds any light on the situation):
Your Jetpack has a glitch. Something went wrong that’s never supposed to happen. Guess you’re just lucky: home_invalid
Try connecting again. Error Details: The required “home” parameter is invalid.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Broken urls since 3.6.1 upgrade!Update:
Still very broken. I deleted the cache in wp super cache and then tested the cache. Something is adding an extra https:// to my urls.Cache Tester

In reply to: Broken urls since 3.6.1 upgrade!Hi WPyogi, thank you for your quick responce. That is odd. Supercache was already de-activated, but activating it and clearing the cache does not seem to help. I am a little apprehensive about upgrading the theme because I do not want to break things further (I am a bit of a novice). What are the risks of updating the theme?
In the meantime I will go through my plugins and see if any are causing the problem. Any other ideas are appreciated.

In reply to: Display issues with W3 Total CacheI am marking this as resolved as in- I gave up and am not using W3 total cache. I think it is minify that was ultimately the issue. I tried other plugins that minify and also had display issues.

In reply to: Link won't workI am having the same problem. Automatically upgraded to WordPress 3.6.1 and some but not all links are broken. It seems the : disappeared after the http and/or additional elements are added to the url like https://http//www.
For example https://http//www.petalumapiecompany.com/take-and-bake-pies/How did this happen and how can I QUICKLY fix it?
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Theme Pinboard Social Bookmarks disappearedI should have thought of that already. I did that and it seemed that WordPress SEO was the culprit. I re-activated WordPress SEO and it seems to be OK now.
Thanks!
