In reply to: [WooCommerce] Show Orders only, not other My account optionsWell, why didn’t you say so?!
That’s perfect, thank you. I thought it would just result in a non-working link, but you’re right, it actually hides the options, just as I wanted.
Many thanks

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Show Orders only, not other My account optionsThanks for that Mike – I also read your post on ‘Customising account page tabs’. However, until I know a lot more about this stuff, the last part of my question stands, which is why I was hoping for a plugin that allowed such editing! The problem I have is that this is for a members-only site, and things like billing & shipping addresses are maintained in a separate system, so I don’t particularly want customers to think they have to maintain them.

In reply to: [WooCommerce My Account Widget] Show orders onlyHi Bart
Thank you very much for your response & your plugin. However, I think I’m right in saying that when you click on an option such as ‘x orders pending’ the user is taken to the My Account page, which is what I’m trying to avoid. I’d like users to able to see just their order history, without the additional options shown on the My Account page such as ‘Addresses’, ‘Account details’, etc.
My apologies if I’ve misunderstood how your plugin works. All the best
Pete

In reply to: Thumbnail proportionsHa! Found it!
There is another setting for stopping hard cropping – under Woocommerce/Settings/Products/Display:https://imgur.com/a/Wv3HI
Unticked those, & my product images are now all the correct proportions. I must have unticked those options late at night on the local site, & all that was left was a vague memory of something somewhere when I came to do the live one. That’ll teach me not to document as I go along . . .My thanks to those who gave some thought to this, especially Pioner Web Design.

In reply to: Thumbnail proportionsJust tried uploading a different test image to local & remote sites, & again, they each created a different number of thumbnails – but also a different number from the ones each created for the last test image! Last time, the local site created 6, the remote one 8; this time the local count was 4, remote 5. The problem remote ones (I presume) are the ones that are created in the standard 300 x 300 and 180 x 180 format, which doesn’t happen with the local ones. https://imgur.com/a/4optb
I’m hoping that’ll be specific enough for someone who knows more about thumbnail creation than I do (not difficult) to pinpoint the cause.PS – if I delete those square thumbnails, the product loses its image in the main shop page, even if I edit it to remove the image & then set it again. Selecting the product gives a screen with the correct shape image, as does the ‘lightbox’ view. Using ‘Regenerate thumbnails’ results in the extra, square, thumbnails reappearing – but only on the remote site. Aaargh!

In reply to: Thumbnail proportionsHi again – thanks for your continued assistance. I can’t at the moment give a public link to the site (though I could email you at Pioneer Web Design if necessary), but at your suggestion looked at the thumbnails in more detail. Interestingly, despite using Storefront (2.2.5) as the only theme on both local & remote sites, it’s created different numbers of thumbnails on each, as you can see in https://imgur.com/7Yn2d39, and I presume the problem is caused by the remote site using those thumbnails that don’t have the correct proportions.
Is there as far as you know any way the same theme should generate different numbers of thumbnails, some the wrong proportions?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Media Library Folders] Spaces in image filenamesYou’re a star. Thank you

In reply to: Thumbnail proportionsHi – thanks for the response. Yes, I’m afraid I did try that; I uploaded the same new product image to both local & remote sites – one worked fine, the other was cropped. I’ve regenerated thumbnails till I’m blue in the face, too.

OK – thanks for the response

In reply to: [Media Library Folders] Thumbnail proportionsGreat – thank you very much; look forward to it! Will it work retrospectively or only on new uploads?

In reply to: [Media Library Folders] Thumbnail proportionsWell at least that’s what I thought; I even woke up during the ngiht wondering if there were additional thumbnaill options. Unfortunately that doesn’t get me any closer to the answer; I don’t want to set new thumbnail sizes as I’d like all thumbnails to take on the same proportions as their original product images, and I come back to my puzzle: I’ve just uploaded a test image to the local site, and the thumbnail shows perfectly as a long thin rectangle; upload the same image to the remote site, and the thumbnail appears as a cropped square, with only part of the product showing. And yet – as far as I’m aware – all other settings are identical.
Assuming it’s nothing to do with Media Library Folders (for which many thanks, btw), I’ll post the query on the WordPress forum.
PS – Do I need to do anything else about https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/spaces-in-filenames/#post-9555438 ? Thanks
Thank you for a quick & clear answer. That’s perfect!
Apologies for not noticing it before . . .Cheers

In reply to: [Media Library Folders] Spaces in image filenamesThat sounds ideal, thank you. Obviously it’s not desperately important, but it would just make that screen look better.
Thanks again for your prompt response.
I have this problem too – I found https://ultimatemember.com/how-to-manually-approve-new-user-registrations-wordpress-site/, but can’t see that works with the current plugin. Is it perhaps not available in the free version
Thanks
Hi – I too would like to change that text so that it corresponds with the field labels I’ve used on the registration form, but your link above gives a 404 error.
Thanks
