I really like how well your plugin performs, with greatly improved page-load times, and it also shows the video previews perfectly.

I also share the same concern as Kaleyko, where I would rather this plugin took any YouTube URL (http or https) that is on a line by itself (but not in a link or on a line with other text) and rendered the lyte YouTube preview…?Maybe you can provide the option in a future version?

For ideas, you can have a look at the Lazy Load for Videos plugin, which has some similar functionality.

Hmm, that didn’t work. The preview image is still the same size, about 60% of the black background.

P.S.: I discovered that in your suggestion to ckubs, above, the !important is necessary to make it work, at least on my site.

I’m having a related problem: The black YouTube box shows up at 600px, but the preview image of the video is much smaller than the back background of the video player. I’d like the preview to occupy 100% of the player’s width.

Any suggestions?

And separately, it would be great to have an option to receive an e-mail when one IP hits x number of 404s in y minutes, whether we decide to automatically lock them out or not.

Wow, my site had almost ground to a complete halt, with no clear solution.

Then I discovered the solution: Deleted this plugin and voilà! The site was very fast again.

Hi Ian, nice plugin! Since you’re the plugin creator and the plugin is still working, would you please consider issuing an updated version simply to indicate compatibility with WP 3.8? Otherwise it looks like the plugin has been abandoned, which it clearly hasn’t.

@lognic: You should add the code to the active theme’s functions.php file (or create one and save it in the theme directory)

This approach didn’t work for me. I upgraded to v3.3.4 and added that to my CSS. It doesn’t show up in either the preview or the printed page.

Hi Mikko, they are added to all posts sitewide via the YARPP plugin, not a shortcode in the particular post.

I don’t think YARPP adds these links inside the_content() but rather after that, so one fix would be an option to limit the search of the post body to the_content() … in addition to the title, tags, author, post meta, etc.

I want to show only the subcategories of the current category (that have posts), not the current category. But I don’t want the subcategories to be expanded unless I click on them.

So if I am in Category 1, I see:

Subcategory A
  [+]Subcategory B
     Subcategory C
  [+]Subcategory D
     Subcategory E

but I don’t see Category 1, and I don’t see B1, B2, etc.
