Even stranger, I was looking around and suddenly all is back to normal. No idea what I did, but there you go!

Thanks for that, it just seems to have gone away. I’ve used it today all day and no problems at all. Very strange to say the least

Anyone? I’ve had a think and I can set up a category of blog, then I can put posts in categories, including the blog category.

But is this a good way to do it and is there a better way?

I should add that I am also finding that the trigger doesn’t work. I have it set to 10 seconds or 10% but it only expands if I scroll right to the bottom, and not after 10 seconds or 10%

Rats. I’ve looked a little at that and find out that Matt Cutts has said that 301 redirects result in some loss of page rank. So that’s not good.

Any other ideas on how to merge the site and keep the urls? Is there some way I can set up the main site with a blog page so that the second one imports with blog in the url?

Yes I’m a definite vote for the homepage, I’ve stuck to getsocial, even though it’s got it’s own problems now, just because it’s available on the homepage. I get most of my visitors on the homepage and so that’s the place to get the likes.

But it seems that Digg does work ok now for me, though I only tried it on one site, not all.

Hi Leo, spot on, I just looked at it on the home page. Tried again and it’s fine in IE, firefox and Chrome on inside pages.

I’d have to say though that I really want it on the home page, on one site at least that’s where I get most of my likes, so not so happy if it’s not on the home page.

There you go. I gave up on it and pulled it off my sites and put getsocial on. Worked fine. 6 sites.

But then I upgraded getsocial and it broke 3 of my sites, all content completely gone and an error message on the page. I downgraded to the previous version and all worked well again, so I’m not upgrading.

It seems that there’s problems with them all!

So today I took one site, put digg digg back on it and turned it on and enabled floating bar.

No sign of the bar in any browser, so back to an old version of getsocial for me!

I too am having a problem with the plugin.

In Chrome it works fine but in IE and Firefox it sits right in the middle of the page over the top of the content.

Very strange.

There you go, today it seems to be working just fine in IE and Firefox, but all over the place in Chrome, though other sites I have (basically exactly the same, same theme, plugins etc) are all working fine in Chrome.

In Chrome it won’t display sometimes, other times it does, it seems random as to when it shows and when it doesn’t.
