I’m also having this problem. My site is going live in a week so I can’t share the link just yet but if anyone has a solution other than getting lucky I’d love to know about it!

Figured it out. This used to fail to load a css file but didn’t send a notice. 4.8 must have introduced code to display an error when a file is missing. I’ve fixed the broken link and the error is gone.

I also just ran into this specifically in underscores (_s) and applying to tinymce. Searching google for this, I’m pretty sure there is a widespread problem of this nature as of WP 4.8.

Here are the deets on what I’m seeing:

It’s right in the tinymce portion of the UI.

I am assuming this is pertaining to the short lived trial of our integration of freemius. I am going to close this under that assumption. Sorry for the annoyance.

This sounds like more of an issue of having a sidebar for a specific page. Then you can put whatever widgets you want in it. There are a lot of solutions out there. I’m not sure which is the best for your particular needs.

Doing a quick google search for “Page specific sidebar WordPress” returns a lot of promising results.

more than likely what you’ll want is a plugin that lets you do that.

Indeed we have retracted that piece of code. I’m sorry that it caused you frustration. I would be delighted if you would reconsider your rating since we literally only added that code yesterday and then retracted it already exactly because it was inconsistent with our ethos of keeping the plugin light and clutter-free.

We’ve never put ads in the plugin. We’ve never asked money for it. We were hoping to use that code to learn more about our users so we could better serve them but as you point out, that approach needs a lot more thought before it is ready for prime time.

There is not plugin configuration page. I’m not sure how I could help on this one.

Are you trying to upload a whole folder? The image widget only supports one image not a series.

That should be safe to do so long as you don’t go and manage your widgets after deactivating the plugin.

Unless there has been some new change in WordPress that I haven’t run into, I think this is a more broad topic of upload permissions right?

Can you upload images in a normal post?

If you search www.ads-software.com or the internet for “Unable to create directory wp-content/uploads” it is clear that this is a common more general problem that comes up on occasion. Usually because of a hosting configuration.
