In reply to: [AWS for WordPress] Amazon Polly Missing Settings and OptionsHi Tomasz,
Thanks very much. The problem is now solved!!
Would it be an idea to add post page as a default setting?
Best regards,
Peter

In reply to: [AWS for WordPress] Amazon Polly Missing Settings and OptionsHello Tomasz,
Unfortunately, your suggestion did not work. In my case the Polly switch for the posts also disappeared after adding pages.
Just to see what would happen, I left the post types option completely blank.
The good news is that I got my switch for the pages back as well as for the posts. The bad news is that Polly text to speech does not work for the pages. There is a player visible but it does not work.
You can see it here:

In contrast the player for the post works great and the new download button is present as well. Both for post and pages the translation option works very well. In the post section, the translation is read by a voice-over, while in the pages section it is not.
Any idea?
Thanks,
Best regards,
Peter

In reply to: [AWS for WordPress] Amazon Polly Missing Settings and Optionshello Tomasz,
I have ticked the boxes but I do not get the Polly Box for my pages. It used it be underneath the page.
The strange thing is that for my blogs I can select Polly and Polly works fine.
Do you have a clue?
Thanks,
Kind regards,
Peter

In reply to: [AWS for WordPress] No PollyHello Tomasz,
Thanks for your e mail,
It used to work and it still is working
as the new Polly files are stored in S3, but they are not played with the embedded player. I did not encounter any error logs in my hosted environment. The best thing I can do is a clean install of your plug in I think.Best regards,
Peter

In reply to: [AWS for WordPress] Can’t update a post with Polly text-to-speech turned onThanks for your answer. The problem is that I do not get any error codes back, at least I do not see anything coming back.
One thing I noticed though is that the English version of the source language is not stored in S3, whereas the other mp3 files of the four languages are stored in S3.
I listed to these files and they were the most recent files, so Polly seems to be working. When I look at the AWS stats, I can see that there is access to S3, Polly and Translate.
So you may very well be right that something might be wrong with the Wp config.
Tnis must have happened sometime during the upgrade process. Recently I also had to update to the newest PHP version.
Another thing I noticed is that when I asked for a bulk update, i used to see the progress as it took a while. What I see now is that immediately after clicking the bulk update button, it says completed, so it seems that the files are not uploaded from WP.Does this give you a clue?
Thanks.
