Thank you for your reply. Maybe my dissatisfaction is due to my lack of understand as to how things work, and my expectation that TranslatePress should be able to deal with it, but cant.

I assumed, that Deepl integration meant that this option would also be there.

This doesn′t help as I cannot find a string related to Paypal. It is not a pop-up but is directly on my front shop page. See https://www.woodland-crafts.com/de_de/. This is an option integrated by Paypal in Woocommerce and may well not be accessible to TranslatePress. I will take the issue up with PayPal

Quick view does nothing and the PDF files-previews are not displayed

the pdf can not be used as the product picture, meaning I have to generate jpg files… the odd thing is that all pdf files have automatically generated thumbnails. why cant Free Downloads WooCommerce access these?

When I try to regenerate the images by running the plugin again, it simply states that all files (as a long list) have a thumbnail…

And then ALL thumbnails are lost when I deactivate the plugin…

Please have in mind that on all of our Site Tools’ websites our NGINX Direct Delivery is turned on by default:

This is a method to serve static content of your website using the try_files functionality of NGINX. It allows us to remove the static content from the server memory, but still find it and serve it super fast directly from the NGINX, skipping the communication with the Apache web server.

Since the NGINX Direct Delivery is turned on on your website any custom Apache rules for your static resources (such as the site images) do not take effect as the resources are served directly from NGINX to your visitors and not from the server.

You may turned off the NGINX Direct Delivery via the Site Tools – > Speed – > Cache but please do have in mind that our SG Optimizer plugin also provides WebP converter:
