You are addressing more questions in the same topic and I’ll take them one by one:

1. Background image in the main menu & sidebar: I don’t think there is any plugin to do this as it’s quite easy to do using CSS. At least I’m not aware of such a plugin. If you need help with the CSS lines that need to be adjusted for changing the background, let me know.

2. Messing up with CSS is ok only if you’re using Child_Themes, otherwise all your changes will go away every time a new update is available for your theme.

3. Plugins not showing up in admin: how did you install them? The more details you provide, the easier will be to find out what’s happening.

I’m having the same issue myself and I’m only using scheduled posts. I just tried out the solution from @bradkovach and I’ll come back with the result if it works.

Is there any way to overcome this? I am asking because I was doing this setting for a customer’s site and wasn’t using my own FaceBook account. Sometimes you have to log out of FB ??

Same here, auto-publishing isn’t working. I am using scheduled posts, so this might actually be the issue.

After deleting and creating a new app the auto-publish worked for the first time, but since then nothing.

Otto, do you have any clues, any hints for us?

I found the fix for this issue in my case. For the site in discussion the WP dashboard is served from another domain (with ssl) than the site domain. I mean the site is https://yoursite.com and the dashboard is https://yoursite.securedomain.com/wp-admin

The fix was to put in the FaceBook app Website field “https://yoursite.securedomain.com/” instead of “https://yoursite.com”.

Having exact the same issue after upgrading to the latest version of the SFC plugin. The only green line I have now is “Application Access Token found!”. The other two are in this state:

“No User or Access Token found. Try re-saving this page.”

And just like webshot, when clicking on the “Grant SFC Permissions” I get the same mesage.

Hi all,

I had the same issue and after trying everything in this thread, I realized that it was the FBLike plugin to crash the Visual Editor. After deactivating it, everything works just fine, even without “Use Google Libraries” plugin.

Trying to install FBLike on a fresh WP install didn’t crash the editor, so there must be some kind of issue with other plugins or with the theme. I’ll post future updates on this directly on the plugin page.

I hope this helps someone else besides me.
