Usage Review

  • Thank you for the recent update which I have been looking forward to and thanks for the work you did put in to make the plugin compatible with this latest version of WordPress. I took out some time to try out some of the new features which are really great but here are some challenges I faced:

    1. I couldn’t insert any of the templates forms; after indicating the form I need to use, I clicked on insert but it didn’t insert.
    2. The standard form option is great but I couldn’t insert new fields
    3. I had to settle for the multi-select even though that wasn’t what I wanted; it offered me the option to insert all the fields I needed but even after completing the form it still didn’t work properly. I opened an Incognito tab to test it out and the form page reloaded after submitting the form but without the success alert. I also didn’t get any email notifications (after setting it up) and there was no record of the form in the WP dashboard.

    I do hope all these are resolved soon and once again thank you for all you have done for the community thus far. I look forward to contributing to the Open Source project as well once I have learnt the required skills.

    Thanks for the feedback, I will definitely use it later when I start working on those parts.

    I do agree that UX is not the best in many aspects, and I hope to improve it this year. Last time I checked that functionality it worked, but it’s not always obvious where to click.

    The plugin code is pretty bad and I have to rework many things to pay that technical debt first. Then I can move forward and start working on things you may notice. I will try to somehow balance such things and maybe add small improvements here and there, but it’s definitely a long journey as I’m alone and I can do it in evenings/on weekends. But I’m looking forward, I think it’s a great plugin and it just needs some love.

    I will try to keep you updated when I test everything, but I can’t give any dates.

    Just tried this.

    And it worked fine. When you hover below an input, there is a plus button.

    @kelvinodems I added a + button below a form to make it adding blocks clear.

    Templates are hidden for now as they need to be test and updated and it will take time.
