OK! deleted ‘media’ from line and the ‘link’ function works on text and no problem with Events.
thanks! Will it also fix the problem with adding links to text in a post or page? In edit I can delete a link but not add one.
thanks.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: insert/edit link not workingI disabled the ‘comprehensive google map’ plugin and the create/edit link works. I guess I’ll have to wait till that plugin is compatible with WP 4.0

In reply to: [WP-Print] WP-Print 2.5.2 update problemFYI…. had a similar problem, all pages I created since the upgrade would not give a print page, just a 404 page. I followed your suggestions above and the reinstall didn’t work, but the refresh of the permalink page did!! Thanks – you solved my problem. Hope it works/worked for thedabble.

In reply to: Reading settings changes on it's ownIt’s not outdated, I have the latest version. I’m hesitant to change to Twenty Eleven as I’ve not used it before and imagine I would have to spend hours reviewing and editing pages. I’m on a two week trip with no time to learn a new theme much less do the work to make it look right.
I am admittedly not experienced at this. Someone else set up the site and I’m doing it now and learning as I go. As an example, when I ‘Live Preview’ my site in Twenty Eleven, the menu picks up titles that I don’t want there. I’d have to figure out how to eliminate them.
I’ll just have to keep monitoring it and changing it back every day till I get home and have time to work it out.
I appreciate you taking the time to help and offer suggestions. ….MichaelForum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Reading settings changes on it's ownJust checked my site and the home page changed settings again in the ‘Readings’ menu and I had my posts as the Home page. I haven’t touched WP since I changed it back two days ago.

In reply to: Can't log in to WPOK so this is an infinite loop. I can’t buy an upgrade without logging in… So I can’t get support for not being able to log in because I can’t buy an upgrade because I can’t log in. Does someone have a phone number I can call?
I’m going to try my Meetup contacts too.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Can't log in to WPI don’t have a paid upgrade. So basically I cannot get any answers until they get back to giving free support. The Support page (link you included) is where I’ve been trying to get information. It says: “Our helpful forums remain open…” I have a logon for their Forum but it won’t work either. I guess I can buy the cheapest upgrade they have and see if I can get some help then….

In reply to: Can't log in to WPI have to have a paid ‘upgrade’ in order to get support right now. Meanwhile I cannot access my website editor….. damn

In reply to: Can't log in to WPON second thought… I’d like to get support from “.com” but they don’t recognize me, nor my email; and they don’t have anyway I can find to contact them without loging in. does ‘[email protected]’ exist??
